hi, i recently moved from the east coast to the west coast, and im realizing now, that common prices out here are way more than back east (sometimes double), and im interested in growing my own shrooms. i know a lot of websites have step by step guides, but first hand experience would help [IMG]. i also need info on what websites have the best quality spores/kits etc. if anyone has knowledge about the whole process from beginning to end, i would really appreciate some input. feel free to PM or IM me on AIM.

1.) Got to shroomery.org EVERYTHING you need to know is there.
2.)Dont buy a kit. -- For 160 bucks, you could buy just about everything* you need to crank out more mushies than you and everyone around you can handle-
-----Evrything you will need, you can find at that site up above.

I don't think you can order spores/kits, etc. in California anymore.

Get some epson salt, and bake it in the oven for a bit at 350.......then put it in a ziploc container, and put a paper towel over it............then put your mushies in there, and in about 2-3 days, they'll be bone dry

I heard 350 is too high. Remember, psilocybin is very unstable and breaks down rapidly with exposure to heat and even to oxygen.
Here is another way, buy some of those dehydrating packets that you use in closets to keep your clothes from getting moldy. You can get them from any hardware store. I can't remember what they are called. Open the packets and spread them out on the bottom of a screened box, about 4-6 inches deep. Be careful not to touch it, they are toxic, but none of this is transfered to the mushies. Spread the mushrooms out over the screen, and place in a dark, well-ventelated closet with a low powered fan.

You can use the oven method, but definately go for a cooler temp, no higher than 240.

Your right on that being to high for mushies,,,but i was saying cook the epsom salt in the oven, not the fun'guys..........if you cook the salt, it makes it act just like what your talking about, the dehydrating thing.
----Simple mistake ...................oh yeah, what your talking about, the dehydrating things,,,theyre called Silica Gel

If you live in cali you wont be able to order spores online. I'd suggest you acquire a spore print from somebody.
