I'm all for the uniting of people everywhere online, but it's going to far! The internet can be a groovy thing, man, but when it keeps us from smelling the flowers and interacting with others on more than a two-sensory basis, it turns into a total bummer.

but, this time, gotta part wit ya there. It's up to ppl how much they want of the internet. ... Taking it a step further, the issue boils down to whether or not you value the flowers and being outside more, than computers...

Honestly I'm ready for human-chip-implementation; imagine "hacking" your brain and installing "drug programs"...WiFi-psychic abilities, housing your ID/credit card/driver's license/SS# all in your wrist; having a HUD sliding down over your field-of-view giving you instant access to any possible brain function at the touch of a button, giving the human brain a limitless potential...

...then, also, we'll have to worry about hackers, virii...and spyware. Oh yes, noticed that Flash ad with the "Swat the Fly"? Imagine that annoyance when in the middle of a good night's sleep. :p

Yeah, I guess you guys are right...my view is just like, a little stunted because my sister totally developed an emotional dependence on the internet, man. She has really bad trips when people tell her she can't get on.

I believe you'd be mistaken; in fact, satellites are often used by the military in place of spyplanes during recon when tiny planes would be obvious...the satellites can zoom in enough to show details on buildings, doors, windows, etc.

I think I'd be happy to see the beginning of mainstream organic computing appear sometime before I die.

Look i can walk near you all day "much easier with few dirent agents " with digital camera cellular phone and take a picture of you and your friend or conection . This days even homeless have cell fone. and all the cell phone look the same .your world just became a lot smaller to hide from the goverment.

I'm talkin' about the lack of outdoor activity these days due to technology! Who wants to get out and go have a groovy time with friends when you can just chat with them online? Who wants to go explore the backwoods when you can just go through an online computer chat simulation like Palace and pretend you are without all the dirt 'n stuff?

And my sister really did form a dependency, man. She literally said, "If I can't get on the internet, I will kill myself."

You sound like it's some kind of incurable disease thats being forced upon us. If you like spending time online more than going outside theres nothing wrong with that. It's all about personal decision, nobody has forced anybody to go online.

Personally I would always rather be outside in pleasant weather than be sitting inside.
