Bill Hicks was a very funny guy, dark, but funny. I really love Chris Rock too. I didn't see anyone say Lenny Bruce? Too old I guess. Rodney Dangerfield? How soon we forget......he was an icon. Richard Pryor is awesome. Steve Martin? I didn't see his name either, weird, he is one of the best. For a duo, the Canadian brothers Maclean & Maclean are my pick. Margaret Cho is great. Bob Newhart used to do some wicked stand up. Jay Leno too. Bob Hope was one of a kind, always had a good line. I saw Sam Kinison, he was pretty funny, but not killer funny to me. I like The Dice Man much better. George Carlin Dennis Leary Robin Williams and Eddie Murphy have their moments. Ellen DeGeneres Louis Anderson Steven Wright makes me laugh. Redd Foxx. I like Billy Connolly too. I am not a big Seinfeld fan, but he is pretty funny sometimes. . . . Bill Hicks, damn funny guy, smart, witty, and a little too wild, just like Lenny Bruce.
george carlin, chris rock, dane cook, i cnat remember the name of one guy...he was pretty fat and he was hispanic and did funny voices and stuff.
Carlos something? Shit, I can't remember his last name. Did his thing on Comedy Central have a story about him tricking his friend into thinking the hotel clerk called him a spic?
I have to agree with you Desert Stargazer... George Carlin has made me hysterical to the point of tears on many occasions. Not sure of Johnathan Winters... (I haven't seen any of his stand-up material), however his artwork is AMAZING! I'm also a fan of Jon Stewart. He's so clever and intelligent. I love the way he puts an educated twist on his views. Oh, and Chris Rock makes me laugh too. He simply tells it like it is.
My favourites would have to be Mitch Hedburg, George Carlin and Seinfeld. You can never go wrong in any social situation if you watch enough Seinfeld.
Bill Bailey definately followed by Billy Connoly although i was also dissapointed with his new zealand tour
Amen, sister! Followed by Mitch Hedburg. Of course, you might be able to divide those two into light and dark comedy.
yeah man thats a great line up.i would also add jaspor carrot /charlie williams / lenny henry to.........
A cross between Chris Rock and Bill Mahr- they are both truth tellers that combine humor with current events and World Issues that need to be addressed and shed light upon them! I love it!!!
it's tough, i watch so much standup but here are my favs in no particular order Frank Caliendo (Best Madden and Bush impressions) Dane Cook Mitch Hedburg Pablo Francisco D.C. Benny Patton Oswalt Kevin James and about fifty other guys whose names i don't remember lol
Mitch Hedberg hands down. Even his really bad jokes are funny. He reminds me of so many of my friends and no matter how sad I get, he always makes me smile.
