tv/movies depicting shoes in the home!!??

has anyone else noticed the ridiculous way television and movies show main charecters in their home fully wearing shoes....is that even a real thing people do?
were a no shoes in the house household.
i cant believe it everytime i see it i growl a bit lol.
shoes are evil. end of story lol

 

I guess bare feet on television sit coms are taboo. Ever notice when someone crawls into bed be they pull the covers up so it blocks the camera view of their feet? Really strange.

 

ive noticed that too. its like theres foot phobia going on. so strange to me.

 

Another strange one. Someone gets out of bed, puts on their slippers just to go across the room such as opening the bedroom door. How many times have we seen that???

 

dont get me started on slippers lol. in the winter i could mayyyybe understand.. but a warm toasty carpeted bedroom.... yeah. im totally with you on that.
its a foot phobic culture im telling you.

 

Star Trek Voyager great series for a Netflix binge one of the best IMO but if you know Star Trek the ship has a sick bay.

I am watching one episode and was like what the heck what ever the reason the person was sick on the bed they got shoes on. They always do.




Ok what ever its Star Trek not barefoot hike trek and your allowed to wear sox on a hospital bed so what the heck.

I still dont understand the need for shoes on space ships every surface is clean and perfect no hazards what's the need ?

Who is going to be tracking dirt there is nothing but the vacuum of space outside.

What about the Progressive commercial where the "crew" is supposed to be at the beach. They all wear shoes, except Flo, who appears to have sandals. How unrealistic!

 

If you want to see bare feet in the media, magazines is the place to look. I have a part time gig stocking magazines in grocery stores, so I often check to see them there. Depending on the title, lots of women and men are seen barefoot especially any home so that is still a great source. I've seen internet ads that also feature bare feet. Nice to see that being barefoot in depicted as a normal activity somewhere. There's still hope out there.
