I have this woman who works part time for me and her main occupation is working at a spa giving massages and facial treatments. Well, ever since I started working at my job she has been asking me to come in for a facial on the house. Being a typical guy I've just been like sure I'll do it, but I've just blown it off. Well, last night I saw her at this concert I was attending and she's like come in at noon tomorrow. So, I took her up on it. It was interesting is all I can say. I laid down in this bed underneath blankets with these boots on that were heated and she just went to town with all these creams, ex-foliaters, many things I never heard of before and finished off with this lavander infused oxygen treatment. It felt good, it was relaxing - can't say that I feel like I look any different for it, but I can somewhat understand why a lot of women enjoy it. What I can't understand is paying $150.00 for it. It was nice and all, but $150 to spend an hour having this done? Maybe I should have put this in True Confessions. It feels weird saying, oh I had this marvelous facial treatment today, haha :&
ha, the massage part and the relaxation sounds nice...the price does not. i guess its aimed at those with disposeable (read:metrosexual) income..a luxury
I give my man spa treatments all the time but we do it at home. You can get the stuff for facials at the store (some stuff is less abrasive than what they use anyway) warm the towels in the dryer, I have smooth rocks that I picked up out of a river that you can put in HOT water with essential oils and place them on pressure points, full no inhibition body massages... yeah. home spa treatments are the best!
The oxygen treatment was an interesting part. I actually got a little high off it, which I wasn't expecting. So, considering the effect it had on me, I had to ask how much one of those machines cost. Ten Grand!! I couldn't believe it.
So purty, I think I'm going to go to the video store, rent Titanic, cuddle up my couch and have a good cry this afternoon Yeah, $150 was a real shock to me. Lets just say I wouldn't have spent $20 if I had had to pay for it.
they have oxygen bars you can go to. different flavors and everything. It's ok. you get higher off of nitrous and those tanks are cheaper!
