IV nurse #2 was just here; she said the line looks good and applied a fresh dressing. Maybe the IV will be pulled on Friday. Can't wait to be rid of the thing! She gave me a fitting attached to the line to hold out of the way. I said it made me feel like a giant holding a microphone and she almost snorted her mask off. It's a good day today.
Not good. You know those floaters you see sometimes? Imagine one that's huge and looks like a tangled wad of black thread. It looks like that, and it travels around in my right eye like a screensaver. Makes it hard to read. Add to that the fact that my left eye is legally blind, and you have an idea what it's like. I need to see a retina consultant.
Talk about multiple problems My Special Angel Sister. You have had so much to cope with for quite some time now. I have of course posted the below picture before, but it certainly applies to you in spades. And just for that I am sending you a great big... Brother KennyXXX
@Angelmama I’ve never met you but I wish you well. Us old hippies gotta hang in there. Get better...... please.
Angel darlin' I know exactly what it is, albeit I'm no Optician, but my Dad had it - its called Macular Degeneration - there is a 'Dry' and a 'Wet' version, my Dad had the 'wet' version in both eyes and he was virtually blind for the last few years of his life.
In that case, I sure hope that's not what it is! I don't want to STAY half blind. I'm hoping it's something fixable.
Good news. When I woke this morning I thought the occlusion in my eye was a bit smaller I called the retina doctor and he said I may not need to come in! He said a broken blood vessel may have been responsible and it's now being absorbed. Stay tuned and keep your fingers crossed!
