    What are your favorite Santana albums. he's put out a hell of a lot. this includes all projects with other musicians. here are mine in order.

    Love Devotion Surrender (with John McLaughlin)
    Caravanseri
    Santana III
    Abraxas
    Santana

    Definitely the first 3 (Santana, Abraxas, and III)...then probably Milagro that has some cool jams in it. Honestly I like the two newest ones for the music, not so much the guest artists. The drummer Dennis Chambers is fucking amazing though, especially live!

    you should check out Santana: Live at the Fillmore '68......it's young, raw santana and it is amazing!!

    I love the woodstock performance... and the Gregg Rolie era (he wrote Black Magic Woman).

    Anyway, I love all the early era albums like people have suggested, with Santana III probably my fav..

    Also, an album I would suggest to people is, Carlos Santana & Buddy Miles! Live!
