I could not bring myself to use these words. They sound so harsh rolling off the tongue and out into the air. I wince when I hear them. Some seem to carry more weight than others and some people use them on members of their own culture, but that's really their choice and maybe they should put some thought into what they're actually helping to promote.
i cant bring myself to say those words either. even when i've been asked by my black bf i cant do it. its a word made for one reason, and that is to antagonize that race of people and i will not submit to joining in such activities. i completely respect your idea to degrade these words to useless meaning, but it is a very controversial way of going about trying to eliminate racism. I'm not sure how we could successfully erase racism, but I think with time it becomes less extreme. Human nature is going to allow there to always be some kind of racism though. Stereotypes and discrimination are directly related with racism and prejudice, and there are so many forms of that, that everyone is guilty of it. I really try to not let myself judge anyone by their appearance. Even if white people no longer were prejudice against black people and all other races got along, there would still be issues about gender, religion, politics, even weight yo. Like people discriminate for all kinds of reasons. Its very sad. I think what the world i lacking is love, of course. In a result with more love, we could achieve peace.
