Architect of the Capitol Outlines $30 Million In Damages From Pro-Trump Riot

"The cost of repairing damages from the attack on the U.S. Capitol and related security expenses have already topped $30 million and will keep rising, Architect of the Capitol J. Brett Blanton told lawmakers on Wednesday.

The events of Jan. 6, he said, were "difficult for the American people, and extremely hard for all of us on campus to witness."

Blanton said that congressional appropriations committees have already approved a transfer request of $30 million to pay for expenses and to extend a temporary perimeter fencing contract through March 31.

But more money will be needed, he added: "History teaches us that project costs for replacements and repairs beyond in-kind improvements across campus will be considerable and beyond the scope of the current budgetary environment."

The price tag will go even higher, Blanton told lawmakers on the House Appropriations Committee, if the fence and other security measures are needed beyond March."

THE REPUBLICAN PARTY is the culprit for making it harder for Americans to get and keep health insurance - that's why they tried like hell to get rid of "Obamacare" - because that program got around 23 million MORE people insured. And what did the REPUBLICAN PARTY have ready to "replace" Obamacare????? Absolutely N-O-T-H-I-N-G. They HAVE NO PLAN. Big talk is easy ............. DELIVERING for the American people so they don't go bankrupt paying for their own health insurance is much tougher.

Then he tried to take credit for factories that opened when Obama was President. I won't re-hash Trump's lack of handling the Covid-19 pandemic. That disaster speaks for itself. "It's only 1 person coming in from China. Don't worry - we have it all under control." - Then ........... "It's only 15 people and soon it'll be down to zero. When the weather warms, it'll magically just disappear." "I know more about viruses than those idiots at the CDC." How ABSOLUTELY, SPECTACULARLY F**KED-UP in the head than moron proved to be.

And then we have the "Constitutional Saviors" in THE REPUBLICAN PARTY. You know .......... the very ones who trampled on the Constitution when they TRIED to overturn a free & fair election by inciting a deadly riotous MOB to attack the U.S. Capitol in order to stop Biden's win from being certified in Congress on January 6th, 2021. EVERY REPUBLICAN except 7 in the House of Representatives voted to overturn the election. Does THAT sound like they put value in the Constitution????? Their guy Trump got beat - and they didn't like it - so they obstructed the law, defied the Constitution, and tried to C-H-E-A-T Trump back into the White House. Those are C-R-I-M-I-N-A-L acts of insurrection, and ...................... they should ALL BE IN JAIL. If the situation were reversed, and Democrats were trying to overturn an election, the REPUBLICAN PARTY would have the military shooting people dead on the spot. Look at how THE REPUBLICAN PARTY treated peaceful protesters in various cities around the U.S. who were protesting cops shooting & killing unarmed black men.

THE REPUBLICAN PARTY is a party of juvenile, RICH, R-A-C-I-S-T, spoiled brats that want EVERYTHING their way ............. or they make life miserable for the rest of the U.S. They bait voters by telling them they'll cut their taxes - and when they do - the avg. American gets a few bucks back while MULTI-MILLIONAIRES and MULTI-BILLIONAIRES get hundreds of BILLIONS back is taxes. Then to pay for all those ULTRA-RICH tax breaks ....... they CUT SERVICES and SLASH programs like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, unemployment benefits, and funding to agencies like the Environmental Protection Agency - charged with keeping our air & water clean, and OSHA - the agency tasked with making our workplaces safe for all workers. In order to "balance the budget" (which they NEVER DO) and pay for all those HUGE TAX BREAKS to the very RICHEST people - they do it on the backs of average American workers.

If ANYONE can explain the logic of soooo many people in the U.S. SUCKING DOWN that same-old-shit from THE REPUBLICAN PARTY - and keep voting the bastards back in time after time - I'd be glad to hear the attempt at their logic.
