Trump's lawyer Jerome Marcus just asked the judge to allow him from representing Trump. Marcus told the judge Trump has demanded he carry out a crime and said he did not wish to violate the law.

 

The sacred seat of our government has been attacked by White Nationalist Scumbags. Four people have died, six peace officers have been hurt, our Capitol has been vandalized; and, this is what you've got to say? You want to belittle an attack on my country you disgusting piece of shit?

 

I find myself wondering whether the police involvement would have been different if the rioters had not been white.

I think so too. I was watching the footage and didn't see a black face among that gently handled, violent bunch of pro Trump criminals.
I tried to imagine how the response would differ with a crowd who were mostly black, and thought that the Potomac would have run red.
SAD!

They also say we're a democracy and that they want a president, who is not a dictator, but above the law and allowed to commit high crimes and treason. I'd say what we have here is a failure to communicate, with about 1/3 of the country.
