I truly believe there are some Republicans that ARE of a Nazi frame of mind. The Nazi belief that only "certain" people are superior ( a la Hitler's white Aryan race - and also Trump's comments about white, northern Europeans from the Scandinavian countries) is now being echoed by some hardline Republicans.

Fascism is another VERY TROUBLING development in the Republican party. Trump has infected the American public with the belief that our long-established and long-held democratic election system is all of a sudden "fixed", "rigged", and not to be trusted ............. is a central talking point in ALL FASCIST REGIMES. ****** For those who don't believe this ........ read up on some world history. ******* It was a central theme in Hitler's rise to power in Germany. The rise in social media - and it's tolerance of outright lies - is a powerful tool to sow the seeds of such distrust of our free democratic elections. Hitler would be shooting a load in his pants if he had today's social media at his disposal. If social media doesn't sift out the lies, misinformation, and conspiracy theories about our U.S. election system and our government - it will fertilize the environment for ANOTHER CIVIL WAR here - and the FALL of the U.S.A. ( This is the reason the founders put in the guarantee of a free press - one that OBJECTIVELY reports the news in TRUTH - not lies and conspiracy theories. ) The picture painted by Trump ( the first person in modern U.S. history to do so ) and many of today's Republicans - is that if Republicans don't remain in control ............. the election must be "rigged", "fixed", and "corrupt." This is a DANGEROUS pre-cursor to a violent civil war or a violent attempt to overthrow our U.S. government.

Webster's Dictionary definition of fascism - "A strongly nationalistic regime characterized by regimentation, rigid censorship, and suppression of any opposition."

Trump - more than any other person in modern U.S. history - has fueled the distrust of our U.S election system, and long-trusted media and news sources to the point where if Trump (or any of his allies) doesn't say it - it must be false. This is REALLY DANGEROUS territory we're in here in the U.S. The election was won by Joe Biden ................... but Trump and his allies say HE won ..................... and that the whole election system is corrupt, "rigged", and "fixed." Would he be saying the same things if HE won the election?????????? Without any doubt - he would not.

The problem is with Trump himself. He's a blatant narcissist, strongly self-centered and self-absorbed. He simply CANNOT accept losing ............. at anything. Will we, as U.S citizens, choose to protect our U.S. democracy, AND the Constitution - or cater to the narcissistic, self-centered whims of ONE MAN ??? Will we choose to trash the whole U.S.A. system of government and what the founders - as well as our relatives fought and DIED for - to appease just one self-centered, narcissistic man .................. Donald Trump?????

Hate is rampant right now in the U.S., with intimidation, violence, and armed threats happening all around the country. Such things took root before the election and have an even deeper foothold AFTER the election. With almost half the country refusing to believe the election results - even when Republican state Attorney's General publicly say no fraud has taken place and that the election was fair & honest. - - - - - - - - - - - Where does that leave us??? - - - - - - - - - - - - - With distrust, hate, anti-government sentiment, intimidation, violence, .............. all the seeds of civil war and FALL of our country.

"Oh - that'll never happen here."

Remember ................. The U.S.A. is the only experiment of it's kind in world history - and we're ONLY 244 years old ..................... a mere fart in the winds of time. Will WE DECIDE to remain the U.S.A. ????????

 

^^^^^ This needs to be put on HUGE billboards all around the country. Do we want to keep our U.S.A as we've all come to know and love it ...................... or cater to the whims of ONLY Donald Trump and his EXTREMELY FRAGILE EGO ???

This points to how much some U.S. voters are woefully uneducated on world history and current world affairs. How can they agree with Trump and Pompeo and then back the Trump regime pulling the same shyt ???

 

Wouldn't it be ironic if the if the head cheerleader for "lock her up" was himself LOCKED UP???

 

The bottom line, at least for me, is that trump, and his supporters don't understand why the majority of the people in this country don't like him.

 

Wouldn't surprise me one bit. The person ( I'm NOT calling the person a man ) has sooooo much to lose and going to prison may be likely. This possibility is ample reason for tightening the "presidential pardon" law. For ANYONE in the highest office in the land to break laws and get away scot-free is the height of hypocrisy. There's NO polite way to say it .................. it's BULLSHIT.

I am hoping that if and when Mr Biden is declared the winner, we will still have a democracy here come the time for another presidential election. From what I've read and heard this might not be the case. We shall see and I hope I am wrong.
