I was amused to look online just now to read the Daily Mail for today (Tuesday)

One of the articles was asking what advice you would give younger generations.
I think some of the replies are hilarious along with some very good advice at that.

Pretty smart these old uns! :)

So what would YOUR advice be then?

Elderly care home residents share their sage advice for the younger generation | Daily Mail Online

Elderly care home residents shared their advice for the younger generations, with pearls of wisdom including 'keep your legs together' and 'spend all your money.'

Yelverton Residential Home has been trying to keep its residents entertained during lockdown and the staff decided to ask them to write down on a white board what they would share with the youth of today.

This generated some hilarious responses that went viral after they were posted online by staff at the home in Yelverton, Devon.

Hasn’t anybody got any advice for for the Snowflakes :p then?
I particularly agree with Coral there when she says 'Think before you ink’.

My Father always used to say be very careful when sending out letters Kenneth.

The pen in mightier than the sword!

Proofread and double check your texts to make sure you're sending them to the correct lady

You don't want to text voluptuous Rachel the time and location for a date that was meant for vivacious Rachele

You just reminded me there Pete.
Many years ago when I was just getting used to E. Mails and stuff I thought I was sending a very rude and personal mail to a certain Woman.
Later I was horrified to find out that my mail had also gone to some other people!
    Yikes!
I am still trying to live that down!

    But yes.
    Advice to younger people.
Double check everything texts or mails or whatever before clicking ‘send’!

There was a story recently about a young woman who did that, apparently she went into the staff toilets at lunchtime and took a selfie in her rather kinky underwear she sent it to her boyfriend as a clue as to what they would be getting up to later, in her haste she hit 'send to all contacts', apparently the first she knew about her error was when her boss told her he liked her taste in underwear. oops

My advice to the young would be simple, 'die before you get old' , lets face it you work hard all your life and when you should be taking it easy you either haven't got the money because your pensions gone tits up, or some other bleeder is finding a way to make your life a misery, usually it has something to do with the government.

I think that is very good advice Phil.
As well as what you further say there, the worse thing I can think of is to be in a care home being fed cornflakes possibly by someone who doesn’t really want to do that.

If one has worked hard all their life and has built up a lovely home and a few bob in the bank guess what happens to your lovely assets.

    You can’t claim Pension Credit.
You can’t claim for a free TV licence.
You have to pay for all dental treatment, except perhaps for a yearly dental check.
You will be taxed on both Government and Private Pension income if they take you above the tax band.
If you have to go into that care home then your home will have to be sold to pay for your care at something like £1,000 plus a week until most of it has gone.

The person in the next room/bed will get that care free if they have never worked for a living, possibly because they never had any intention to work.

I could go on but I bet you get my grift.

Part of my way is this:
    I am a SKIN.

    Spending Kids Inheritance NOW!

My further advice would be Men in the younger generation would be:

    1. Don’t let your balls get the better of your brains.

    And to Women:

    2. Don’t let your pussy get the better of your brains.

    3. But if you do succumb to lust, then make sure a condom is worn.

    4. Don’t have baby’s until well after teens.

    5. Travel the world instead of maternity units! :)

Consider how long dead lasts. That realization should give you incentive to do everything that you're hesitating to do!! Like Janis said--GET IT WHILE YOU CAN--whatever IT is in the moment.

Thank you for excellent posts, and yours in bold Wolf is especially hard hitting.
I just wish I could direct that to the polititions of the younger generation that comes through as the next 10 to 30 years go by.
I might be pushing up the daisies by then but I don’t have much, if any faith that the World they create tomorrpw will be any better than today.
In fact my money would be on it getting a whole lot worse!

    .....

More good advice for the younger generation below though!

'Thank you for that Boozy - As much as the majority of the snowflake raised generation do not inspire confidence -
there is a core of resolute youth that are mindful of others, have conviction and conscience, and give hope for a bright future.
    Keep the faith’. :)

I will keep the faith Wolf.
Although the world really is in a bad place at the moment, life will go on without me/us at some point.
I wish I could switch to being around 20 years of age again so as to help and guide the younger generation through this Covid 19 nightmare.
After all, it will be them who have to pay for this little lot in generations to come, and they will need a leader!

    My advice... Do the reading.

Sometimes you really don't feel like doing the reading form your homework, but it's generally worth it.

Your advice there is absolutely spot on soul.
I have always been an avid reader of almost anything I could get my hands on from Comics to Books to Magazines to Newspapers and mow almost anything on the internet.
One gains real knowledge from all over the world when one has the ability to read and write..
I think it is is really sad when young people leave school and can hardly read or write, and this will hinder them in so many ways for all of their lives.
    That is a tragedy.
    It really is! :(

    .......

    More good advice below!

If you are thinking of cheating on someone you Love, perhaps that is your Partner or Husband or Wife then just remember this.
If you do then you will very likely have that on your concience all of your life no matter what happens.
And you never know how much trouble and heartache this may cause as the ramifications for your actions could be very far reaching indeed.

So if you are contemplating being a cheater.
    My advice.
    Just don’t do it!
    :)
