How many guys are uncut nowadays?

I am from the UK and like almost everyone I come across has an intact foreskin. A very good friend of mine did tell me that he grew up not realising that he had been circumcised. When he discovered this in early adolescence he was traumatised. His words not mine

 

Majority of guys are uncut if i m not wrong...one of the reasons is due to the high cost of the operation to remove the foreskin, another is that after it is cut, the exposed penis head become sensitive and could be hurt when the guy moves or walks about as it rubs against his underwear or pants...can be pretty painful...it may take a few months perhaps to get use to the pain and discomfort and after getting used to the friction it becomes no longer as sensitive to the touch and so may not respond as much or as fast to the pleasure of sex as compared to if it is uncut...my vote goes for uncut though muslim men are required under their religious laws to circumsize their penis at birth or at certain point in their lives...

Yes, quite correct...but just like in every other thing, there will be a few odd ones out who would cut it for reasons best known to themselves....some of which hv been widely discussed in this forum already

This is really a cultural thing. In the US, being circumcized is very common. But I'm European and here it's almost only done by religious minorities such as muslims, or for medical reasons. The vast majority of Europeans is uncut. I think any claimed benefits for circumcision are very small, there is no good reason to cut in a healthy body. In my opinion it should only be made possible for adults who can decide for themselves. It's disgusting that parents decide that their young children are being circumcized. I still have my foreskin and it brings me great pleasure, I wouldn't want to lose it. I can't imagine having to masturbate without my foreskin. Let people decide for themselves, don't circumcize children when there is no medical reason to do so. Cutting in a healthy body of a child is not normal.

 

Circumcision is not common in China or Japan. I’ve never seen a Chinese or Japanese guy who was circumcised. Korean men on the other hand are very often circumcised. It became very popular in Korea due to American influence.

 

Have you seen the body cast they put baby's into to circumcise them? your find on YouTube its a bit sickening to watch, your warned.

 

There's a crew of guys who are for circumcision and sites with the view of taking it over, there answer to any guy thinking of having it done, is just go and get it done, its one more on there list of getting the chop, I know I got chucked off it for being against them, but I think they was given the chop as well.

I think the wrong one was chucked off first, I warned them what there trying to do as a parting shot.

 

I guess we guys are never satisfied. A lot of the guys that are circumcised want to have their foreskin back, some are actually trying to achieve it using stretching of the shaft skin. But there is also a considerable amount of guys (somewhere about 5-15%) that are not circumcised but simply have no foreskin or almost none. Some of them were simply born that way, others have experienced that the penis itself (inside) was growing faster than their foreskin, so the foreskin simply became too short to cover the glans. Some of them don't like it and wish they had a longer foreskin.

Myself I belong to the group on the opposite side, those who have a long foreskin, that covers the glans even in erect state. I don't like it. It doesn't look great and also it's not very practical. I already had my frenulum cut (twice!) long ago. I was hoping that would also remove the strain forwards on the foreskin during erection, but it didn't help there, foreskin still always returns over the glans when erect. I am always envious of the guys that have a foreskin that only partly covers the glans and completely retracts during erection.

So it's never really like we want I guess.

 

You guess is wrong in my case. Circumcised as an infant I know no other way. I am completely happy with the way my cock looks and performs.

 

Some guys are satisfied; others are not. If you’re not circumcised and unsatisfied, there is something you can do about that situation. If you are circumcised and unsatisfied...you’re fucked!

 

Mutilation is a rather harsh word. I fully understand why people would recoil from this. Unfortunately it is accurate. If you remove normal, healthy, functional tissue or parts from a persons body without their consent. That by definition is mutilation.

This is nothing new. Many cultures have practiced all sorts of body altering practices for centuries. I am sure at the time they didn't consider it as mutilation.

 

i am uncut. i like it. my mother told me when i was young that she left it because it would leave the head more sensitive due to it always being covered against clothing.

 

British and uncut here. I can understand why some people find a circumcised penis more aesthetically pleasing and I understand it is generally cleaner and easier to maintain but other than that, I don't see the point or the need for circumcision.

I’m uncut and it’s common here in Aus. My skin fully retracts too so there would be no benefit to me getting cut.

 

The question was "how many nowadays?" Browsing 5 pages of comments, I didn't see the answer, so here it is. The World Health Organization estimates that 70 percent of men (males age 15 and older) are uncircumcised.

Of the minority (30 percent) of adult men worldwide who are circumcised, most are Muslims, again according to WHO.

Whether someone thinks that the surgical removal of the penile foreskin is a crime against humanity or the greatest gift one human can give another, the 70 percent is still the fact, as near as anyone can tell. There you have it, absent the insults and counter-insults that appear frequently in this thread.

If percentages are too abstract for you, that's about 2,800,000,000 men and boys who are uncircumcised nowadays, and about 1,710,000,000 of them are age 15 and older.

Perhaps I shouldn't be, but I am amazed that just about everyone saw "how many nowadays?" and couldn't process the question in their minds. The question isn't "are you for or against circumcision?", but I suppose that it can be, if you love to create a good non sequitur.
