We need to work together with rational Republicans. There is really 3 parties in America now. Democrats, racist Trumpers, and Republicans as they existed in the 1990's. They do not agree with Democrats but they agree on the fundamentals of America. John Mccain is a great example of this.

Trump could have let the allegations of remarks he made about deaths of troops settle down. Instead, he decided to hold a press briefing on Labor Day where he insulted the brass and mistakenly claimed that he's still popular with the infantry.

Various polls have shown a gradual loss of support for him from the infantry as well as the brass during his term.

His desire in June to use the military against demonstrators received a cold response from the brass. It's why he later turned to using a quasi-military approach to the civil unrest, such as using border patrol agents.

The latest venue for him has been vigilantes which he practically praised for using paint ball guns and pepper spray against demonstrators, contending it was a defensive action.

The name of Trump's son, Barron, is part of Trump's fake name from the 1980's, John Barron.

Justice Dept. Intervenes to Help Trump in E. Jean Carroll Rape Lawsuit
Government lawyers made the unusual move of seeking to take over President Trump’s defense in a defamation suit brought by Ms. Carroll, who has claimed Mr. Trump raped her in the 1990s.

Justice Dept. Intervenes to Help Trump in E. Jean Carroll Rape Lawsuit

    excerpt:

"In a highly unusual legal maneuver, the Department of Justice moved on Tuesday to replace President Trump’s private lawyers and defend him against a defamation lawsuit brought in state court by the author E. Jean Carroll, who has accused him of raping her in a Manhattan department store in the 1990s.

Lawyers for the Justice Department said in court papers that Mr. Trump was acting in his official capacity as president when he denied ever knowing Ms. Carroll.

Citing a law called the Federal Tort Claims Act, the lawyers asserted the right to take the case from Mr. Trump’s private lawyers and move the matter from state court to federal court. The tort claims act gives employees of the federal government immunity from lawsuits, though legal experts say that it has rarely, if ever, been used to protect a president."

U.S. Seeks to Defend Trump in Rape Accuser’s Defamation Suit

    excerpt:

"The move could further delay a suit in which Carroll is demanding potentially damaging evidence from Trump during the final weeks before the presidential election, including a deposition and a DNA sample to compare to a dress she claims she was wearing at the time of the alleged attack. It could also leave taxpayers on the hook for any damages awarded in the case.

In a court filing Tuesday, the Justice Department said Trump was acting “within the scope” of his job as president when he said Carroll lied about the incident, prompting her lawsuit. The U.S. also moved the case to Manhattan federal court from a New York state court, where a judge last month denied his request to stall the suit.

“Today’s actions demonstrate that Trump will do everything possible, including using the full powers of the federal government, to block discovery from going forward in my case before the upcoming election to try to prevent a jury from ever deciding which one of us is lying,” Carroll said in a statement Tuesday."

    Bill Barr to the rescue.

Barr's DOJ seeks to have feds take over defense of E. Jean Carroll defamation suit against Trump | Daily Mail Online

    excerpt:

"Trump's lawyers had sought to delay the suit in a filing last month but a New York judge ruled it can go forward

Tuesday's news follows reports that Trump's campaign has blown through $800 million – including on legal fees to help Trump fend off a variety of lawsuits. The RNC has spent upwards of $2.5 million defending Trump on Russia and Ukraine investigations, the New York Times reported, while the campaign has spent $1.5 million on litigation involving a campaign aide who says she was sexually harassed and other matters.

'Because President Trump was acting within the scope of his office or employment at the time of the incident out of which the plaintiff’s claim arose, the United States will file a motion to substitute itself for President Trump in this action,' according to the DOJ memo."

You cannot use the military against the citizenry. You must use LEO, which is what the National Guard is. He ended up using Federal Police to protect the Federal Building.

In Michael Cohen’s tell-all book Disloyal,

Trump told his former lawyer that Black and Latino voters were "too stupid" to vote for him, and said that any country run by Black leaders was a "sh**hole." On another occasion,
after the death of South African President Nelson Mandela, Cohen says that Trump told him that apartheid-era South Africa had been "beautiful" and that Mandela had "f***** the whole country up."

Cohen also goes in deep on what he describes as the president's idolization of Russian President Vladimir Putin, whom he says Trump reveres because of his immense personal wealth
and his immersive control of his country. "An entire society and civilization bent to the will of a single man was how Trump viewed the ideal historical form of government," Cohen writes.
"With him as the man in charge, of course."

Trump proving he's one truly insecure bastard...........

Except putting her foot in her mouth it would seem, and this is from the Washington Post:

"Democrats have accused President Trump of endangering public health with his grudging support for wearing masks. But this weekend, the Democratic nominee for vice president, Sen. Kamala D. Harris (Calif.) did something far worse. In a CNN interview, Harris repeatedly called into question whether it would be safe to take the coronavirus vaccines being developed under the Trump administration’s Operation Warp Speed."

What is wrong with what she said. I wouldn't trust a vaccine developed under operation warp speed, either. maybe we should try it on you first.
