The WHO just pulls a number out if it's arse and says the pandemic could be over in 2 years

Pandemic 'could be over within two years'

No word on how any vaccine is going to protect the 600 million folks across the world older than 65 yrs

Dr Tedros compares the timeline to 1918-1920, world population in 1918 was under 2 billion

I think the politicians and news media are going for the front page, not us citizens. The very best N95 masks filter to 0.3 microns. The Coronovirus 0.14 microns, meaning the virus will pass right through. A cloth mask is even worse. The only purpose a mask serves is to break up a sneeze or someone coughing or talking right in your face. Take a cigarette and exhale normally through a mask and look where the smoke goes.
Much easier to just keep you mouth closed until in a less crowded area. A mask will not protect you.
What about your eyes? A prime portal of entry for germs.
When I was young, we had pandemics of flu, polio, measles and others. The economy still ran. Rare was anything closed due to a disease.
I watch baseball with custom masks. Home shopping has color coordinated masks.
A lot of people are making money off of someone else's misery.

I breathe through my nose when I'm jogging - I don't wear a mask then - but I'm not sure how much nose vs. mouth-breathing helps.

I don't have an n95 either. i have a home made deal that I like. My mom made it.

Vaccine? Like that means anything these days.

According to the latest Gallup poll 35% of Americans wouldn’t take the vaccine even if it was free.

Well, there's nothing silly about not taking the very first vaccine that hits the market

But couple years it will probably be in your flu shot anyway

England study finds low number of infections in schools
Coronavirus outbreaks and infections in schools are rare, Public Health England (PHE) has said after releasing a new study

    .

It said only 0.01% of pre-schools and primary schools that opened in June for some year groups before closing for the summer holidays had an outbreak, with 70 children and 128 staff infected.

"Over the same period, there were 25,470 cases recorded in England as a whole," PHE said, noting that one million children attended schools in the period covered.

    The study

, conducted by researchers from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and St George’s University, says children are more likely to acquire the virus at home, rather than at school.

It comes as the UK's chief medical adviser Prof Chris Whitty said the chances of children dying from Covid-19 were "incredibly small" - but missing lessons "damages children in the long run".

PHE found that there were more likely to be outbreaks in those areas that also had a high COVID-19 incidence, suggesting transmission in the community is what drives the spread in schools.

    @realDonaldTrump

The deep state, or whoever, over at the FDA is making it very difficult for drug companies to get people in order to test the vaccines and therapeutics. Obviously, they are hoping to delay the answer
until after November 3rd. Must focus on speed, and saving lives!....

    i.e. saving his presidency...lol....

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Convalescent plasma in the treatment of infectious diseases has been around for over 100 years.

Do you realize how sick someone would have to be in order for a doctor to prescribe that form of treatment, how about from casket to the grave.

It’s help some very people but it’s not a panacea, duh!

Usain Bolt tests positive for coronavirus after huge surprise birthday party

Sprint legend Usain Bolt has tested positive for the deadly coronavirus after undergoing a COVID-19 test.

In a video posted on social media, the Jamaican said while lying in bed he had experienced no symptoms, but he urged friends he had been in contact with to take precautions.

“This weekend, like everybody else, I checked social media and saw social media say that I’m confirmed of COVID-19,” Bolt said.

“I did a test on Saturday to leave (Jamaica) because I have work,” he said. “I am trying to be responsible so I am going to stay in and be safe.

“Also, I am having no symptoms, I will quarantine myself and wait on the confirmation to see what is the protocol and to see how I go about quarantining myself from the Ministry of Health.

“Until then, I will call my friends and tell them once they came in contact with me to be safe, quarantine and take it easy.”

It was later revealed by Jamaica’s health ministry that the Olympic champion had tested positive for the virus.

Attention has now turned to the sprint king’s surprise 34th birthday on Friday — and whether appropriate social distancing was maintained.

KFC suspends its 'finger lickin' good' slogan because of coronavirus

New York (CNN Business)Kentucky Fried Chicken has decided to pause using its "finger lickin' good" slogan because ... well, that's probably not the best idea right now.

Several months after health officials recommended everyone stop touching their faces to help stop the spread of coronavirus, KFC said Monday that the 64-year-old slogan "doesn't feel quite right.

Ohio State University suspended 228 students before classes even started after they broke coronavirus rules and threw parties

Ohio State University issued 228 interim suspensions to students who broke the school's coronavirus rules as of Monday — one day before classes formally started.

that threw parties "that are not consistent with safe and healthy guidelines."
