Today at this carnival thing there were all of these shops on the streets and one shop had some of those handblown glass pipes. I tried to by it but for some reason the guy wouldnt let me. P.S. It was my first time holding or seeing a glass pipe up close. are they supposed to be that light? are they hollow?
the only reason i can think why he wouldnt let u buy it is coz of ure age. but i dont see why that has to matter. it doesnt mean u gonna smoke weed in it. u could have been buying it to show ure friends. but then again if i was that guy id know u will want it for weed. but that still doesnt matter coz why is it his business wat u gonna do with it? its not like its illegal to sell those kind stuff to minors or is it?
t depends on the state you live in. Some require you to be 18 because it is considered a smoking accessory. It doesn't have to be weed, they mean cigarettes. and that's illegal until you are 18 as well, so they figure you have no other reason to buy it. they are light and no they aren't hollow. They have a chamber that the smoke goes through, but they aren't hollow. And yes they are pretty light and fragile.
here in sa the legal age for smoking is 16 but that doesnt mean if u under 16 u cant buy smoking accessories.
the guy was a hippy mexican guy.(in mexico) and also i dont see why I couldnt buy it. if I can buy a pop can to use as a pipe why couldnt I buy that?
Hand-blown pipes and bowls will typically be pretty light, especially if you get it from a guy on the side of the street. If you want something heavier that won't break as easily, go to a nearby headshop or something. Though, they are a bit more expensive.
yeah most of the 50 states you have to be 18 to purchase anything smoking related, i remember a guy i knew tried to buy a pack of cigerettes 2 days before his 18th birthday and the guy told him come back in 2 days. as for mexico i dont know.
I cant believe someone at a carnival wouldnt let you buy a pipe, usually roadies like that are cool. You have to be 18 to buy lighters and dutches here too, but if you are 15,16,17 and have some sort of facial hair most of the stores will let you buy whatever you want.
Until I turned 18 I typically had to get older friends to buy my lighters. Here in GA, they don't play around.
not supposed to be able to buy lighters or papers and stuff until you're 18 around here, but in a store called hot rags you only have to be 16 for the lighters. i don't know how they can do that though, cause i think its illinois state law about smoking paraphernalia.
ive never been dissallowed to buy a lighter, though once i was not allowed papers in a country town i was in
yeah sumtimes they wont sell them to you becuase they are a "tobacco product" and obviously u wernt old enough to buy tobacco so..
