This is officially the brownest thread on these here boards. Any other brown kids out here? It'd be nice to know I'm not the only one. And what's your current favorite (It's impossible to pick just one.) Ween song. I've been listening to "Makin' Love In The Gravy" alot lately. Got me all the Ween studio albums (Craters of the Sac and The Live Brain Wedgie in mp3 format), plus an A-Z CD-Rom with everything from "Alcan Road" to "Zoloft" and all the live tracks you can shake a stick at. Got a live version of "Dr. Rock" that turns my mind upside down! Solid fuckin' rock. Wish somebody other than me in this shithole town liked Ween so I could start a religiously detail-oriented coverband. Tell me your Ween stories and anything else you wanna say!
Me and my friend jam to "Ocean man" all the time at our local music shop. He plays mandolin and I'm on a 12 string.
yeah im not even sure, what i downloaded was ween, there was very limited things to pick from, when i searched for that name, i will try those two songs....
Ween is very weird music. "Fancy Pants" is my favorite. I have the albums Pure Guava and Quebec, and Quebec kicks ass, so does Pure Guava but some of the songs are on the edge of annoying in that album.
Aww, what did you download? (Most people get hooked with "Freedom of '76" or "Mutilated Lips", "The Mollusk", yadda yadda...) Any of those are good downloads.
DemonSweat, you already know I like Ween cause I tried to PM you about that show. It's good to know there are some brown folks on the forums. Seen the boys in Towson Maryland, twice at Pennslanding, and the best time was in New Orleans at Jazzfest. Also saw Deaner with the Moistboyz on my birthday two years ago in Doylestown. It's crazy to try and narrow down a favorite song. Maybe LMLYP,fucking classic man. I tend to bust out the brown at open mics too. Piss Up a Rope, Voodoo Lady, She Wanted to Leave, Help Me Scrap the Mucus Off My Brain, whatever the occasion calls for. At Folk Fest me and a buddy sit and play Ween songs for hours and hours.
the only ween songs i really like are Happy Colored Marbles and Ocean man. I stopped listening to some ween when I started to hate this one kid cause he listens to only ween.
Ooo, yeah! "She Wanted to Leave" is sooo much fun to play. It's epic. I enjoy playing "You Were the Fool" and "Buckingham Green" as well! Anything off the Mollusk, though very hard to cover, is truly epic. (I've been known to bust out a mean "Waving My Dick In The Wind"!!)
