Usually you'll need more than the regular rate to send snailmail to another country. It'll also depend on the weight of the letter, if it's a regular letter or not. I'm sure you can find it online somewhere.
its a regular letter i jsut wasnt sure of the postage, i mailed it two days ago and it hasnt been returned yet so im hoping
Heh, here they don't return letters but they ask the person who receives the mail to return the difference... so if you're pissed at someone, send them a brick with only a regular stamp on it...
really? so the person i mailed the letter to will most likely get it and jsut have to pay the difference?
Depends what Canada does, I dunno... The US usually returns them, the Netherlands charges the receiver, but I've only sent a letter to someone in Canada once and I went to the post office with it so it had correct postage.
they mail it back to you if you dont have the right postage. it would probably have been like 2 or 3 stamps. i usually just plop a ton onthere and hope they make it.
damnit! i put a .37 on there. hopefully ill get it back soon and i can repostage it and send it back out. next question! approx. how long do you think it would take a letter to get from texas to alberta?
It took 4 days for a small package to get from Texas to me in Ontario. Not sure about the other way though.
I used to send stuff to my friend Gabbee who lives in TX (and vice versa) and it usually took from 3 to 5 business days to get there... I lived in Toronto, Ontario though.. I'm not sure about Alberta.
