I sprout my own Sunflower seeds. They cost too much at the HF store. I made my own sprouting jar. I soak the seeds in water overnight, drain, and rinse a few times a day. Some people will grow SF seeds on a tray of dirt. Sunflower sprouts taste a little like artichokes. I sprout lentils, too. Broccoli sprouts are good, as well.

i never had sunflower sprouts, but my guess is that the seed is more nutritinal than the sprout, where as with alfalfa, i think the sprout is more nutritional than the grain. spouts are cool, its been a long time since i was in positioon to mess around with them though, i liked the ones that came out spicey . . . is that alfalfa? i forget
