The only evidence that feels important to me is the fact that healthcare workers are wearing them to prevent themselves from getting sick.

I realize what she said doesn't exactly pay homage to that idea though, and understand where you're coming from. I feel like it's probably important to wear one even if you're not sick to help prevent breathing of germs.

Also, it's a mandate here. California's governor, to the dismay of the opposing party, has made it an order to wear a mask indoors. No exceptions! I'm absolutely grateful that these measures are being undertaken to prevent transmission of the virus, and have a special mask from my health insurance company. It's green with their name embroidered on one side. Lol.

Also, Arnold Schwarzenegger won't work out at Gold's Gym (a famous chain of gyms in the U.S.) because of their mask policy. He also has some choice words about anyone politicizing the wearing of masks to prevent the spread...

Despite efforts to control the spread of corona virus, various sports teams are having members test positive for the virus. 15 Philadelphia Phillies baseball players tested positive, and I believe a few staff members. Basketball, soccer, and golf team members or support staff have also tested positive. Consequently ………… how many others have those people infected???

This corona virus isn't going away any time soon ………………… and certainly NOT "disappearing like a miracle" as Rump has declared it would. What a total ass.

Anything other than an N95 masks would be useless for their intended effect, fabric masks definately useless, virons are 120 nm wide

Even if they are wearing an N95, its moronic if they are also not wearing eye protection

But what the WHO rep says is correct, you need sustained prolonged contact with the same people at the height of their infectiousness to be in danger of transmission

The spread isnt coming from bars and restaurants, nor will it come from 2 hr long political rallies

You dont catch the virus just by walking past someone in the street, if it was that infectious, the world would be up to billions infected by now

No use wearing a face mask out side if in that environment you have a 1 in 100 million chance of catching it, and even if you are worried about those kind of odds, totally moronic not wearing eye protection at the same time
