Your response makes little sense. You imply that just because Hoover arrived in the White House in 1929 the economy of America took a drastic turn. The big business capitalist were very angry about the Sherman Anti Trust Act and other laws which were designed by sensible members of Congress to control greed. The basic problem with big business capitalism is : Laissez Faire … a concept of government leaving business to do what ever it wants. That stupid Ronald Reagan and other Republicans like Herbert Hoover believed if business is left alone then everything would just naturally fall into place. They didn't take into account the greediness of capitalism. The reality is this: If business men are left alone to plunder as they wish, 99% of the ordinary people would be living in poverty and would need government help. Today in America we have over 66 million seniors and disabled people living on Social Security payments and over 49 million living on unemployment because of Trump's stupid management of our economy. Republicans have always left business free to screw the American worker. When it comes to getting hurt on the job, Republicans say to hell with them and kick them out to the curb. During the depression years, American men stood in lines a mile long to get a free bowel of soup and a hunk of bread, because Herbert Hoover wanted to leave them on the sidewalk without government help. He said, "Chicken In Every Pot" but his politics left every pot empty. It was Democrat Franklin Roosevelt who instituted government regulations to help America's poor unemployed workers. Generally, it is safe to say Republicans don't care about America's working men and women. In the oil and mine business, Republicans let employers leave dead bodies in collapsed mines and left oil spills on the ground to pollute the ground water on our public lands. Republicans let trucking companies cheat drivers out of their pay. Republicans let insurance companies deny claims of American home owners and victims of car accidents. Republicans always want to deny the children of America's poor working families a proper education, and sure as hell don't want these children to have a free lunch at school. Republican capitalism creates 99% poverty because it concentrates money in the pockets of the Robber Barons. If you ask your own self how do these Robber Barons get so rich, you will be looking at the easy income tax laws which were drafted by Republicans like Robert Dole and Newt Gingrich. Ask your self today: Where are Trump's Tax Returns? Didn't he say he would release them like all other presidents … after his audit? Do you want another Great Depression like Herbert Hoover gave us? Lots of smart economists are now saying The Great Trump Depression has started and will take 24 years to repair the country after his Laissez Faire stupidity.

My response is from HISTORY.COM not a long winded opinion from someone who likes to cherry pick and postulate, but of course you must be correct and they are wrong :smirk:

Then why don't you donate all of your money to cancerous kids until you left with 200 dollars(which is an avarage Ugandan monthly salary), and try to be happy and healthy with it for a month? It is easy for us to quote ''capitalist-wealthy Lincoln'' on hapiness from our comfortable-warm homes. Leave aside happiness, it is not possible to stay healthy with that money. Most of my Ugandan friends struggles and not happy at all. Check the avarage life span in poor countries and compare them to rich ones.

Let's be realistic. Rich people exploit poor people. Rich gets richer and poor gets more poor. This is an obvious fact. ''Thinking pink'' is great... But it is not cool if some people are struggling and we think pink about their struggles.

We see salaries and Think, oh that is hard to live off of. It isn’t if you live there. Cost of living isn’t mentioned. average cost of a home there is 14,772.34 USD. Seems their salary can cover it on average in one Or two years year. Milk there costs 56 us cents. Question is do you want to live like people do in Uganda, do they assimilate. Middle class is still poor. It is all relative, Uganda is a socialist country. How is that working out for them?

Do you have any real Ugandan friends? I have and those averages are not the the truth. Most people earn 200 dolars per month, that is the truth. If you have a Facebook account, change your location to Kampala and check job offers there. You can see yourself. Or you can go and ask an avarage Uganda citizen yourself.

I know pretty well what purchasing power is. Of course Canada and USA is more expensive than Uganda. But if you talk with an avarage Ugandan, she/he can tell you that life is pretty expensive there because they earn almost nothing.

Just go and check local purchasing power diffrence: Cost of Living Comparison Between Toronto, Canada And Kampala, Uganda

A person(who lives in Kampala, Uganda)'s purchasing power is %82.60 lower than someone living in Toronto,Canada.

Oh no I cant refute facts so I will attack the source so typical and predictable

NOT a single reputable source backs your claim , FACT great depression STARTED in 1929 the same year Hoover was elected his policies MAY have exacerbated it BUT COULD NOT HAVE CAUSED it as you claim

Oh and the man you claim fixed it was a REPUBLICAN

Uganda is a socialist country...How is that working out for them?

I can tell you how it is working out here as socialism is pushed, people who live and work here can’t afford homes. Foreign buyers drive up the price. Laws put in place and tax breaks given to companies that hire so called minorities discouraging hiring of Canadians and native people. If you speak another language other than the English you are hired before a Canadian who speaks the national language. Inagine wanting a job and seeing that the sign In your country that says, Turkish people need not apply? It isn’t for you, but is for anyone but you. For anyone who is not of your country. People are angry about this, and rightfully so. It isn’t racist. So taxes rise under socialism! The workers here have 66.7 percent of their wages taken by the socialist laws put in place, It isn’t about the people Of here, it is about everyone but! Our health care is failing and government is abusing taxes. People flee their socialist countries and bring the problems of where they fled to this governments door step. Demand action, while native people here are left on the back burner. Canadians of all colours who have come together are put at the end of the line. The priority is for every where else. Poor turkey, poor India, poor Ignoring the plight of people here, who can only call this home. That is what socialism does. Always a sob story for every place else but no consideration for people who live Here and can only call this home. Uganda’s problems aren’t not mine. Turkeys problem is not my problem. It is not canadian or America; problems. The grass isn’t greener, don’t be fooled by socialists who make you believe it is. Our healthcare sucks, thanks to socialism. Food is expensive thanks to socialism. Transportation is expensive, 5hanks to socialism and the taxes they impose. We are slaves to the government and taxed to death.
