Trump goes on wild tweetstorm to distract from Fauci testimony
    Analysis by Stephen Collinson, CNN

Trump goes on wild tweetstorm to distract from Fauci testimony - CNNPolitics

    excerpt:

"Not for the first time, the President trampled over his own message with an ugly controversy involving race that also highlighted his frequent disdain for female journalists.

He snapped at an Asian American reporter who asked him why he was turning a tragic moment into a global competition on testing.

"Maybe that's a question you should ask China," Trump told Weijia Jiang, a White House reporter for CBS News who was born in China but moved to the US at the age of 2. Jiang appeared shocked by the President's apparent conflating of her racial background with China. Trump then cut off the event when another female correspondent, CNN's Kaitlan Collins, who had deferred to her colleague, tried to ask a question.

Even before that unpleasant moment, the Rose Garden event was already surreal, as reporters struggled to make their questions audible over muffling face masks as a result of the White House coronavirus outbreak, which graphically undermines Trump's claims the country is safe to open."

    Vladimir - I guess I'm not reading you. What's I.W.W.? Wobbleys?

And I believe ALL workers must unite - not just in the U.S. but everywhere. There is a VERY small percentage of people that own and control the vast majority of the world's wealth. And what do the workers get from all their skills, technical expertise, and hard work??? CRUMBS ……………… and "trickle-down economics." The only thing trickling down on any working person is either brown or yellow in color. What an insult to even use that term. It's basically whatever scraps are left after the filthy rich take their greedy cut. The REALLY rich crowd outspends, out-lobbies, out-litigates, and buys out smaller Mom & Pop family businesses so they don't have competition. I feel bad for the smaller businesses. I know and patronized a couple local family-owned hardware/garden stores that were run out by Home Depot and Lowes. Multi-billionaires own both of the "big boxes." Their workers work part-time so the multi-billionaires can avoid paying benefits to the workers, at pay rates that were decent back in 1984 to raise a family on.

How many people MUST work 2 and sometimes 3 jobs just to make ends meet?? They aren't living extravagant, glitzy lives - they're just barely paying the bills. How many must choose between food and medicine? Rent or mortgage - and heat? There is rampant, toxic, malignant injustice in the world …………………….. and it's NOT the avg. person who's guilty of it.

Are you serious? And who would that be? All I can see is a wall of second-rate sycophants. Are you talking about getting rid of Dr. Fauci, the only person working for Trump that the American people have any confidence in? Because he's "nearly 80"? He's such a rock star he even got Brad Pitt to play him on SNL. All the Donald could get was Alec Baldwin. If you're this addlepated now, what will you be like at "nearly 80"? Or did you mean giving Trump the boot? He's four years younger than Fauci, but close enough!

Im sure in a country of 330 million you can find one just as smart and under 50

Fauci, 79, just testified to Senate Health committee whose average age is what, 70?

What magical new information do you think he is going to provide? What exactly do you think that committee is going to do about it?

Even your state governors dont have full control as you have some countys ignoring them

Its not like an election, where just 51% will do, you need 80% of the population to actually go along with it. You get news polls that say 80% that care enough to take the poll agree with the lockdown, that doesnt mean they are all going to follow it.

What it really means is something along the lines of 70% of that 80% are going to strictly follow it, when that poll was only reaching 70% of the population in the first place; so 0.7×0.8x0.7= 40%

You and so many others still blindly following the "experts"

What is Fauci offering? Endless mitigations until a vaccine that will just give spring breakers even less to worry about? And thats if it isnt 10 years away

VG sits here with a bucket of popcorn

What if they are all wrong?, no lockdowns, nothing should have changed, except boost those ICU beds and have an army of people sanitizing everything everyone touches anywhere; full employment

    Jayskit post 23177 -
An executive or a business owner, I suppose. If you're a working person, (someone not in the executive ranks or a CEO, or a multi-billionaire owner like the Koch bros. and others like them) and you think you're being treated fairly ………… well ……………….. keep living the "dream." There are many highly skilled, highly motivated, dependable, honest, drug-free people in this country that ought to be paid twice what they're being paid currently. Before you give me the "free market" determines pay sales pitch, I'll tell you the Chamber of Commerce - a union of businesses - controls pay levels everywhere. I know of businesses that wanted to pay their workers much more than the local avg., and they were called all sorts of things for "upsetting the apple cart" and "making waves." So don't waste your breath on "market determinations."

That is correct: They control pay and prices all over the damn place. They control supply and demand. And they bitch about government involvement and call it socialism. It's time we call them out on it.
