Just doing some test laps for race tomorrow at my most favourite lil race track in the world. Just a bit farther to the right in top right corner is where we were sitting. It's a paperclip, if you think of a paperclip. Longer straight, tight hairpin corners and not much banking, making it very slow and inside groove race track, lots of beating and banging. I'm not sure how I'll do, this race is generally a wreck fest because people dunno how to pull a heavy car up under brakes and dive bomb people. Mission, stay up front, stay clean. 150 laps.
I never tripped alone and would not do it if feeling depressed. Btw: I have the same feelings as you @eggsprog caused by lack of routine and spending too much time in the house without the other activities. I'm going to work again this Friday. First time in weeks.
And this, this was the wreck, this happens right in front of us, best thing I ever saw in live sport. The crowd, look at us. Everyone was going off! Mostly cause every hates Logano but also mostly, because that #24 car of Jeff Gordon slips underneath to take the lead and eventually the race win. Funny thing is i seen this video to death that night, but I haven't actually watched a replay of the race. I probably should.
Lol. A bit later on there's a clear shot of the crowd but I think we're a little more to the right which totally sucks I'd love to see us
hate stuff like that. seems to support that concept that we should all be a bit embarrassed of intelligence. it's a great word. what other word would we use instead? okay i just checked thesaurus. it's the best word. and yeah I experience those : ) It feels like my.. understanding just kind of.. unfolds. I feel like I understand everything better. And it can happen again and again. Understanding, like a fractal. Sorry you feeling down.. I hope a trip can offer you helpful perspective. I get that feeling sometimes when I'm catching up.. haha. How was being back at work, by the way? Did the nervousness pass?
The determinist who asserts "Free Will" is an illusion has good examples for it's position during the Coronavirus Pandemic. Many people probably planned and visualized themselves graduating school, going on spring/summer vacations, weddings, work plans, etc. all to not have them actualized in the way they planned. Demonstrating our choices are all contingent on other factors. There are Compatibilists who maintain that we live in a deterministic universe but that free will exists as well, which is an interesting position.
He e-mailed me yesterday and I was meant to pass on hello. TO EVERYNE: "Hello Lounge" from Rolling : )
Isn't that kind of my position? That there is a pre set ending to everything (a return to singularity/God/oneness via enlightenment), but that within it we have free will to do the "wrong" thing for as long as we want to or need to. I always appreciate your responses on these subjects, by the way.. but I also always feel a little intellectually dwarfed. That's not a bad thing, I like it. But sometimes I don't respond (almost didn't this time) because I don't feel I am quite intelligent enough to grasp the level you speak at.. haha
I tried to watch Rick and Morty because people say it's funny but I cannot cope with their pupils looking like that. It weirds me out to the point of being uncomfortable.
