    Hi all,
    Anybody from the Sam days still here? Been a while. But I climbed this mountain with my brother and some friends 33 years ago and had some relevational times up there. So I was surfing the other day and for the heck of it entered something about it in my search engine (hey way better than the old magic 8 balls then, eh you old timers?) and came up with this site; http://www.woodstockmuseum.com/1st_rainbow.html Then I was checking the downloads and here is a shot of my brother walking through a mountain meadow. So I got right on the horn and ordered a copy. Now I highly suspect that Woodstock was some pretty weak tea compared to that party on the mountain and I am wondering if the DVD will impart some of the intesity of the whole thing up in Grandby-we will see. My most vivid memory? Sunrise on the top after making the final assault in some very altered states. Me my brother and "Norman" were sitting on the ground in the pre dawn listening to these campfire singers with these eerily beautifull voices. Such visions passed through my being!

    It's FAR OUT that you found it! (Yes, I still use "FAR OUT" and "GROOVY" in my daily life.) I'm happy for you. Which one is your brother???

    Matt,
    Big nosed guy walkin by on the left down the road... I'm about 90% certain- and he was in hog heaven up there on the mountain. Can't wait for the DVD to show! Jerry Garcia was there. Then Jerry Rubin showed up and made a big speech about "taking all THIS ENERGY to Washington DC" (asshole he-Kerouac said something about political types and other sleazebags hijacking what should be a SPIRITUAL movement). If I spot myself I will be the guy with the blown away astounded expression as that is exactly what I was. I don't remember ANY cameras though... I had been at the Stevens Point ROck Fest a couple of years before and HATED it. This was something totally different.

    PS. I think I had one plate of rice (and three Coors) my whole time up at Strawberry Lake. My brother had "gotten the Peace and Love" when we were all knocked down by the side of the trail and had given away all our food to the people passing by.

    Note to whomever out there;
    Got my first look at the Grandby DVD and well...yeah it's good. Catches the a few sublime moments as well as the more numerous pretentious ones.
