I read the Farseer Trilogy a few years ago and can't for the life of me remember what it was about. All these different fantasy series mix together in my head. Right now I'm re-reading The Wheel of Time. Sorry Asmo, you died at the end of the last book.
Quoted for emphasis. Not how wise Hobb might be , but I too heavily recommend those books Apology accepted. Didn't know you were the author though
any reason? just being away for a while? it will pass quickly !!!! that's the problem i have with reading too many of the same genre. there isn't really a specific genre I go for but with things like fantasy.. or a writer like Tom Robbins or Chuck Palahniuk.. I always make sure to break up those books with books that are nothing like them.
The guy who recommended them to me in the first place.. I can tell all the special wisdom in those books goes right over his head, too. Because I liked them he gave me some other fantasy.. I battled through it for a while before realising.. nope.. this is just NOT anything like the same. He thinks they're as good, because he's seeing something different.. which is all good.
Certain words bring up very strong images in my mind, for no real reason that I can explain And the word "yinz" always makes me see an old man with long fingernails colored yellow by years of cigarette smoking I dont know why Also I've added the Farseer trilogy to my list of books to read
oh yes, i'd like that. when a bus or train has loads of free seats, it confuses me if people even just sit in the seat directly in front of me. WHY. (do they do it, not why do I care. I don't care why I care)

I read the Wheel of time one time only and it wasn't finished back then in a long shot. Not sure I will reread it. Is the ending worthy?
Sanderson did a good job finishing it up. When I say re-read, I actually mean that I'm reading some parts but skipping a lot of characters. I mostly skip scenes with only women because his female characters are cringey and uncomfortable to read.
Jordan had a lot of longwinded parts imo. Anyway, if you're skipping through it like that its partly on you that you're mixing stuff up! I would have more trouble with it then too for sure Another fantasy series I recommend are Katherine Kerrs books (starting with the Deverry series). Good interpretation of magic and celtic/medieval culture and great story, setting and characters
