I've only heard about people putting seaweed in their gardens. I don't know much about it excepts that it gives potassium. Are there other nutrients that it gives to the soil?
seaweed, eh? seaweed is great stuff. it not only contains potassium, but all of the other essential plant nutrients as well. if i lived beside the ocean, i would drag huge piles of it home to put on the garden, make compost tea out of it, etc. i would make sure to wash all the sea-salt off first, though. however, i don't live beside the ocean so i only use it on my houseplants (i put haybales in the garden)
