I can find HPS lights in stores, now all I need is a ballast. I know they're all over the internet, but I don't want to use my credit card and give away information. Does anyone know of any stores that would sell a ballast, or does anyone have another solution to my dilema? I'm looking for 150w HPS w/ballast, and I'm planning on forcing flowering within 2 weeks.

try a garndening store or home depot. maybe even a big pet store, they sell all different types of heat lamps for lizards and stuff.

i got a 150 hps from a hardware-ish store. i don't think home depot carries them (not around here) but if you go to other 'guy' stores, you should be able to find one. jsut say you're looking for a large security light for your boat house or cottage, they may suggest a flood light, but jsut say its not energy efficient or bright enough and you want an hps. there should be some around...also electrical supply stores should carry them aswell, but the prices are usually higher (thnx to big box stores like home depot)

--Inside suns recon items are great! -I got 2 of their 400 watt hps's. -I got mine almost 2 years ago and they only cost me $115 each, including s&h! Even Fox couldnt beatem, they had the shit if ya wannit to putem together yourself but at $95 for the sockit ballast plug and cords it just wasnt worth it. -Mabey I shoulda shoped longer but they dont have the proper reflectors anyhow. -I guess if ya had a break(aluminum sideing tool) ya can bend your own reflector but like I said, I left the shit at the counter. -Whens the last time ya ordered from Inside Sun Mud Hunter? Im thinkin Im gonna get some more lights from them :) ..

I have never ordered from inside sun...i was refered to them from GS...im just debating on using my credit card or send a money order! Im going to order the 400w hps thats on special right now for $100. I will seperate the ballast from the light! Seeing how i will be using it in about 5 weeks I better hurry up. Im just hopeing its a fast turn around!!!

    Oh yes I have a 12' 18ga break, 20ga pittsburg machine, 3' roller, slitter, spot welder & 16ga 4' box break :) ... you might say I own a sheet metal shop.

Heres a pic of my newest veg setup. Ive lowered the lights since then, The fluoros are 2" away, MH about 10" away.

--Holey fukin shit Dude!! :) ! -Thats fukin excelent! -Bein you can bend and weld whatever ya want you might do ok with Fox or another company! -If you do deal with Inside sun tho I think Id make it a credit card order, that way you can do it rite over their web site, -if ya do a money order or a check you'd prolly have to deal with Mike personaly, -he may screw your order up, with the web site you order threw the computer. -Im thinkin about gettin 2 more from him but Im a li'l hesatant because of past bad experiances. -If ya order from IS youl prolly get your shit, but youl prolly have to get a hold of Mike a fyew times and get the ups shippin #s and all that shit before you get your shit. -and Its really hard to even get him on the phone in the first place! --Hey Man... I bet if you made a "I bend sheet metal" thread in the growrooms section or something ,some Folks would prolly wanna talk to you! :)

Not really a concern, but understandable, Hydro Harry's has Sunleaves switchable ballasts for $150, it'll run either mh or hps, pretty cool.
