Ok, I've been to Amsterdam and loved it. Ever since I left in April I've been positively itching to go back. The next time I go though, I want to have an extended stay. What is the best way to plan an extended stay-- say a couple months, or longer? How do you plan this sort of thing? I'll have a bit of money saved but I want to be able to live as thrifty as possible. I'm sure we'll probably need an apartment, but how can I find one when I don't read Dutch (yet)? Any thoughts on the subject would be appreciated!
I stayed in amsterdam for 4 months last year, and we used DeKey housing services to fnd housing. They found us a great place for not too much money, and they were really nice and helpful to us americans.
hey, i love amsterdam too. we went there last summer planning to live there for a few months. but it wasn't really possible. accomodation is pretty hard to get and can be very expansive. what we did was we went to haarlem. its only like 15 minutes on the train and we went to asmterdam every weekend. and got to see a different side of the netherlands
