Please excuse the nonsense title. Stupid question, I know, but I just smoked a spliff with a great friend of mine and we got to discussing how wonderful Amsterdam is - you know, the usual Anyways, he was talking about one of the times when he had gone and how one of his friends that went with him apparently brought his Nintendo Gamecube (video game console) and pretty much just sat in the room and played it nonstop - with the occasional weed/mushroom/beer break. Lame, right? I kinda thought so. Especially since they went in the summer and the weather was apparently beautiful the entire time. But, before I go calling the kettle black, I was wondering.. would you need any special wires to do this? What I mean is, are the input/output devices on their televisions the same as they are over here? I only ask because when I mentioned the above story to my girlfriend (who's coming with me to A'dam this time), she said it might not be a bad idea to bring out Playstation 2 - since chances are the weather might be pretty bad when we're there (we're leaving this Sunday and we'll be there for 10 days). I don't think I'm going to be bringing it - I get to play enough Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas during the week But I figured it might not be a bad idea since it also plays DVDs. Also, will she (my girlfriend, Jme) need an electrical converter for her hair drier? Thanks much! Lots of peace, lots of love, Ganja_Goo
Not really sure on the ps2, but I am thinking it will probably not work. Here in America we use NTSC format for video stuff in europe its PAL. As for electrical converter you will need one for the hair drier. Some of the nicer more expensive hotels will have a few different countries plug ins in the room, but that is pretty rare. I stayed at the marriot last time and our room had 1 american style plug in it.
