On the same day, 590 new cases were cured and discharged, and 1,191 people who had been in close contact with medical observation were released. The number of severe cases decreased by 173.
As of 24:00 on March 20th, according to reports from 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, there were 6013 confirmed cases (among which 1963 were severe cases), 71740 were cured and discharged, and 3255 were dead. A total of 81,008 confirmed cases were reported and 106 suspected cases were reported. A total of 685,866 close contacts were tracked, and 9,371 were close contacts still in medical observation.

There were 0 newly confirmed cases in Hubei (0 in Wuhan), 561 newly cured cases (502 in Wuhan), 7 new deaths (6 in Wuhan), and 5719 confirmed cases (5610 in Wuhan). Among them, 1927 were severe cases (1901 in Wuhan). A total of 58,942 cases of discharged patients were cured (41,891 in Wuhan), 3,139 deaths (2504 in Wuhan), and 67,800 confirmed cases (50005 in Wuhan). There were 0 new suspected cases (0 in Wuhan) and 0 existing suspected cases (0 in Wuhan).
0 From 00:00 to 20:00 on March 20, 41 newly diagnosed imported cases were reported (14 in Beijing, 9 in Shanghai, 7 in Guangdong, 4 in Fujian, 2 in Zhejiang, Shandong, and Shaanxi, and 1 in Sichuan). As of 24:00 on March 20, a total of 269 confirmed imported cases were reported overseas.
A total of 408 confirmed cases were reported from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan: 256 cases in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (98 cases discharged, 4 deaths), 17 cases in Macau Special Administrative Region (10 cases discharged), 135 cases in Taiwan (28 cases discharged, 2 deaths) )."
