Those are all socialistic institutions. Do we keep them or not? Do we want pure and total capitalism? Many , many are fucked enough as it stands---we want more of that?

 

you are talking in extremes, you over populate and you get this, people encroaching on forests, open spaces, etc. Or packed like sardines, a society living in poor conditions. So if you do it the same can be said in other areas.

We have a socialist government here who promote and allow clear cutting, allow foreign fleets to come in and rake the ocean floor, and cutting off local people from fishing for their food because of the depletion. That is liberals for you, that is what socialism does and has done here. You are not allowed to use natural resources on your land. If you have a waterfall and generate power, supply free power to your neighbours, go off the grid it is confiscated. If your province, has a waterfall, you are told who that power can be sold to. Ie Churchill falls. They must sell it to Quebec for cheap, Quebec resells it to the US at a huge mark up. Quebec gets rich while keeping Labrador poor. They wanted to supply other provinces that are poor like Labrador, but the libs would not allow that. Only to Quebec. Keep them poor, make people want to leave,

The right underfunds social institutions, and then when they don't have the resources to properly respond to a crisis, they blame it on the institutions themselves instead of the years/decades of budget cuts.

Get back in power, sell off crown corporations to foreign buyers and/or Quebec to line their pockets, cripple other provinces...in order to prove you have an influx of money to help with the deficit, not the debt, deficit would be paying the interest, not debt. So it just disappears. Poof. Bring in privatization while accusing conservatives of doing it. 8th. Bring in laws that favour some while cripples others.
