Lotus you are retarded, go to college, take any chemistry class, or disease awareness and you will learn how the HIV and aids virus works spreads etc.

    I'm gonna role-play, I'm LotusBlossom
South Africa is a hoax. If there was really a South Africa why would black people live here? Obviously South Africa was made up by the government. There is no motive behind this hoax but I believe in it fully.

Uhm...I wasn't trying to be derogatory at all. I'd really like to know how you would tie South Africa into your theory. :)

LotusBlossom: I looked it up for myself; did some minutes worth of google searching to find out what you were talking about, and didn't find anything.

Sorry, no harm meant, but I think I need to invoke this clause:

"If you don't find me to be correct, then I am probably wrong."

;) Sorry. I have heard that people who get HIV sometimes develop a partial immunity to it that prevents it from turning into AIDS. But with all the this-and-that about AIDS and HIV going around, and all that jazz about that guy who injected people with AIDS-infected meds, I find it hard to believe that there is no link between AIDS and HIV.

Can you provide a reliable source you may have seen, about AIDS being fake? There are many fake things out there, and I CERTAINLY would not put it past our government that AIDS is fake. After all, acid reflux disease is fake, among countless others. But I haven't been able to find any evidence supporting AIDS' fakeness. Could you post a reference, please? =)

I agree with Flake... sort of. If you take any basic cell biology class you can understand how a virus functions. This has nothing to do with the govt. as far as I'm concerned (besides the fact that they should be investing more time and money into a solution of some sort), the life of the virus is solely science.

BUT... Lotus can believe what he'd like. It is at times frightening that one would think it was a hoax, only because it is that type of individual who is more susceptible to the disease. I've heard the arguments, but I'm not convinced. My scientific mind is winning out over conspiracy theories.

Anyway, this had to be coming. People shouldn't have been trying to kill the virus, they should have been trying to control the people with the virus. Basic science shows that viruses are highly adaptable, so the more we try to kill them, the further away we get (in most cases) from actually solving any problem. ...sort of like the theories of the universe.

And though this is not necessary, I'm going to follow this thread so I have to do my good duty for the day and let you know that "balloney" is actually "bologna." You know... the Oscar Mayer song...

I find it hard to lay any credibility upon an article that uses terms such as "Gay Capitalist Conspiracy".

Of course not. Many organizations attempt to give an honest interpretation of the best available facts.
Others are full of crap. They have other hidden agendas, mostly involving obtaining or retaining influence or control of public policy. Willie Sutton, when asked why he robbed banks, he answered "That's were the money is." Organizations with influence sometimes have large budgets. Large budgets pay hefty salaries to top officers of the organization. Occassionally succeeding with their stated goals occassionally conflicts with the top officials financial well being. Mission accomplished also means that it puts them out of a job.

Its not always easy to differentiate between the two types of organizations. One clue is if they have been around for a while and seem to have earned their good repuation. Maybe they should be listened to.
Beware of groups suddenly appearing, making claims which cannot be substantiated by independent research.
