A great deal of the anxiety I see in my parents generation seems to have been created by someone wanting to sell something.

 

It's there because it is NOT a government or political thing. It's a fucking illness.

 

Guess what we all did this before the internet arrived. Nothing new there.

Kids don't walk to school alone anymore due to stupid adults who want to kidnap kids and abuse them.

Things these days are based on safety.
A shame that you don't see this.

Also I see that all you did was copy what your parents did.
Shows how stupid you really are.

if you read at all, I said that the world seems a lot more dangerous today. Clearly you didn’t read, but behaved the way you were raised, I suppose.

 

The world the boomers grew up in was not really sustainable. Now they are about to die and think those few decades are all life can be. Who cares if the planet and economy is fucked because it's these stupid kids who deal with it. Great example one was bitching that you can't get plastic bags now and in the 70's you just threw them in a river and got more. They have this idea that the Earth can not be changed. Some of it selfishness some of Christian views that only god changes anything.

I'm a stubborn person too but in that whole generation I see stubbornness. No matter what social and economic reality you show them it's not real. All you have to do it be born in 1955 and work hard like they did. So you are lazy if you struggle to pay student loan debt or find work. They "had debt too" after all. Yes, the kind of debt where a part time job over the summer honestly did pay for school. It's 20k per semester at my local college after the price break for locals. Out of state is much more. It's not a special college just the standard state one with a football team on TV.

They can make 6 figures without knowing how email works. They have gotten by for the last 30 years without that skill because 30 years ago they already had a few promotions and they did so without a college degree. So they don't understand at all what entry level jobs are now.

 

If not for boomers and x gens, you wouldn’t have the home computer, Internet, online, forums, computer games, etc... for you to criticize Yep! Damn boomers and xgens. Yep damn us for creating anything. Don’t fret peeps, you will figure out something, one day. Maybe a burn computers movement, might be an encouraging way to get outside and look at the stars. Take down the invisible cloud and look at a real one. Good way to ignore media as well and communicate with someone who is standing before you.

The last epidemic didn’t have the internet, quick modes to relay news from around the world. If not for the internet many would be out and about, going about their everyday life. So that internet and access to information is given to you. Used as a propaganda machine that is full of bs as well as some truths,

As for the garbage and thinking millennials are concerned. Hmmmmm. Tell that to the kid who threw a tin can on my lawn. I pick up plenty of garbage the people throw. Do millennials? Felt awful when a kid threw garbage in the shrub and he was with his friends. I said, hey, someone is going to have to pick that up, and that person is me, His friends laughed, i felt bad, he blushed. He picked it up and walked off with it, felt like an old codger, but i get tired of picking up stuff people throw, and he did it while I was cleaning up trash others had tossed, or blew from trash pick up, and I was 3 feet from him, Who were these protesters who left behind at the Dakota Access protest camp? Leaving behind an environmental disaster. Cool, believe your generation is conscious while exhibiting unconscious thoughts, thoughtless!

 

so, you can hate on boomers and gen x for giving you accesss to information that you would otherwise not have,, computers, computer games, paperless banking, paperless mail, protected lands, women’s lib, equal rights, etc...and a ton of other things associated with it. If You have to pick apart people for trying to make the world a better place and only look to blame them for what is wrong, then nothing will ever be done by the next gen as the torch is passed, you can be sure your children will reject you too.
