If Matthew knew a bit about music he would realize that certain aspects about reggae make it harder to play than some forms of rocks. The reason being in reggae the emphasis is on the up beat instead of the down beat. I have heard that the members of the Dead had a great respect and admiration for Bob Marley. I've read his biography through several times. Bob came from grinding poverty and raised himself up by his bootstraps as the old saying goes. Besides his musical accomplishments he also did a lot to help the people of Jamaica. One time while on tour in France Bob and members of The Wailers and their road crew played the French National soccer(football) team in a pickup game. The result? The Wailers kicked their butts. It is said by some that Bob was more than good enough to be a pro soccer player. It goes without saying that Bob was a man of many talents.

I know the history of BOb Marley and the Wailers haveing had concerned foster parents worried i might be missing out on my black culture (they are white ,i am mixed race) and no its not a deep repulsion too anything black brought about from being given up by my black dad .. no deep dark pyschological problems as far as that is concerned...i like lots of other black artists ..
