    brillint movie. i have it in my video collection. the scene where the statue of Lenin pass the streets past the mother is formally reminiscent of the opening shots of La Dolce VIta. i liked this movie a lot.

    living in West Bengal, India where we have a liberal Communist (Marxist) state government, this movie meant something more to me perhaps...

    I love this movie, i've got the special edition on dvd.

    that would be one of my favourite scenes ever
