I doubt it, but I did hear that the weed Meathod man and redman used in "How High" was real. Who knows...
I think they need to add disclaimers in movies so kids realize they shouldnt smoke weed just cuz rich movie stars do. It would say no animals were harmed in the making of this movie and no real weed was smoked either.
As many times a scene may have to be reshot, the actors wouldn't be able to do their job after a couple of takes (or tokes). Besides, any extra weed would probably dissapear if the crew gets too close to the supply. Soon they couldn't be able to do their job. Same reason any whiskey being served in a scene is generally tea.
Yeah... It's not real unless it's a low-budget film not being watched closely by MPAA. (Motion Picture Association of America.) [This comment, obviosly, refers to in America.]
They used real plants in the movie Saving Grace. That one is a British film so things are more relaxed over there. There's one scene toward the end where they show a plant with a 4 ft high cola that was musta been at least a foot in circumfence. It had purple hairs and was covered in a thick coating of trichromes. That thing made drool like mad! You oughta check out that movie its hilarious! At the very end they show a full size kitchen table covered with a pile of buds that musta been at least 3 ft high.
i once watched an entire 2 1/2 hour movie that was in portugese just coz it was about weed, we were incredibly high and i started to believe i was understanding what they were saying but i didnt.. good times!!
a lot of late 60s and 70s movie used weed before the d'fferent scene of the movies...now it's much less used but i think in some underground movie ...it can be found...
In Apocalypse Now(1977) nearly all actors and the director and the rest of the team was smokin marijuana and even Dennis Hopper and Francis ford Coppola (etc...)took LSD(it's not official but very probably right) and i forgot a lot of Alcool and weed for Martin Sheen ...and probably cocaine for a lot of people too... ohhh those were exiting but dangerous times.
i recently saw an article where tommy chong says they didn't use real weed in the cheech and chong movies. He said they tried real weed once and wasted to much film from being to high and not being able to act. I was kinda dissapointed to here this but cheech and chong still rule.
