The following article is about a program being implemented at a school in California. It entails the use of RFID technology where each child is required to wear a tag. http://www.smdailyjournal.org/article.cfm?issue=02-10-05&storyID=39707 Upon looking around at various news sources there's a key point in the original story from the AP that seems to be missing from alot of sources: This latest adaptation of radio frequency ID technology was developed by InCom Corp., a local company co-founded by the parent of a former Brittan student, and some parents are suspicious about the financial relationship between the school and the company. InCom plans to promote it at a national convention of school administrators next month. InCom has paid the school several thousand dollars for agreeing to the experiment, and has promised a royalty from each sale if the system takes off, said the company’s co-founder, Michael Dobson, who works as a technology specialist in the town’s high school. Brittan’s technology aide also works part-time for InCom.
Just goes to show how these people view the common masses. Livestock, cattle...even sheep. This is so horrible, and the fact that they did it without parental consent astounds me. Who is in charge? Isn't a school supposed to be a local thing, run by locals? Isn't gov't there to serve the people, especially in a democracy? People have forgotten their rights, their principles...
this is sort of scary....how long before we all have an RFID tag implanted in our skin? you can't tell me the government wouldn't LOVE that! that's some freaky revelations shit right there!
Our pastor had mentioned this was going to be happening back a few months ago. I have a thread about the mark in the Christianity forum.
Yeah this whole thing so incredibly sketchy to begin with. Let's put this together. First this company pays the school several thousand dollars plus promises them royalties from every unit sold then tells parents they have no choice in the matter: And indeed they are on the roster for the AASA meeting in San Antonio starting the week of Feb 17.
This sort of thing is happening all over the place. It's going to only get worse, especially as long as people continue to accept it.
It's just a badge, our social security numbers are more intrusive than this is. My problem with this whole RFID technology is its potential for abuse. If they wanna give schoolkids a badge to make attendance easier, fine by me. Wanna track your livestock? Fine by me as well. Want to start forcing implants on people or using them to track or keep an eye on us in some way? No longer fine by me. And since I have no desire to give our gov't the benefit of the doubt when it comes to anything, I would like to see these damn things completely disappear. Teachers can do role calls, students can skip school. The world will keep turning without these things...
Well, that is where it is heading, Sera. People are not cattle and should not be tagged. It's pretty easy to see where this technology is heading.

It also shows you what companies support the RFID chips and other unknown areas that have the chips that we weren't aware of... I get a bi weekly newsletter from the Caspian anti RFID people. Its really helpful the first two sites I posted, shows you what you could do to help out and what not...sorry about all the links.
That's just what I am saying. It's pretty obvious. They introduce these tags in the most non-startling way. "This is to keep an eye on our little children while they are at school." How simple and non-threating. Next will be the homeless, then criminals (or vice-versa), and not long we will need them to travel, to get gov't aid, who knows what else... Maybe I am teetering on the edge of paranoia here, but I'll be damned if I will ever support something like those RFID tags.
Katherine Albrecht is great. She makes a lot of appearances on the talk-radio shows I listen to. She's very informative.
In this case...be paranoid, be very paranoid. And by the way, it wouldn't be paranoia, it would be intelligent analysis.
Just saw this on the news. Sounds very innocent, can end up to be very creepy, in a Big Brother kinda way.
Like I have said, they are marketing this concept as some sort of protection device. I find it interesting how it has moved so rapidly from being introduced as a way to track clothing to a means of keeping track of humans. Matt is right. It shall only continue to get worse. It will not be long until GPS tracking is required by our government. However, the punishment for non acceptance will be harsher than you can fathom.
I stated that they were discussing the chips for inmates as well as the military back in october. The Bush administration was advocating radio frequency identification chips for both U.S. and foreign passports in october of last year as well.
Sheesh, this is crazy. I went to that AASA site and they have that picture on the InCom website with those happy looking kids with those big stupid lookin things hangin around their neck and they're all smiling. BS. Wht the hell is this country coming to?
