I avoid dairy as much as I can, but, I do allow myself some whole whipped cream for a special treat...and I use small amounts of parmesan ..and I make drained yogurt with cucumber. I eat small amounts of nuts, and seeds. A day without olive oil is unheard of in my house. I may switch to an orange soybean oil for awhile. I have used grapeseed oil, and like it a lot. The higher priced oils are used sparingly, and last a long time. I do keep most of my oils refridgerated, because many will turn rancid. The plastic bottles can break down in the heat, so I keep them distant from the stove, or transfer to glass bottles. I eat a lot of lentils, and mung beans to get protein. Lecithin is found in beans, too. I discovered blue corn posole out west, and love that, too.
