I've never had a prescription for benzos but my mom gives me some of hers sometimes when needed and they do help. She's been on ativan and xanax and I've tried both. I'm good about only taking them as needed because I hate the way they make me feel otherwise
But I guess my worry with going to the doctor for an rx is they'll want to try an SSRI first and will think I'm just drug seeking if I ask for a benzo lol

Yeah I can see that, especially given the current hysteria around prescription drugs.

You could maybe try saying that it isn't something that bothers you all the time, and that you'd rather just have something you can take when you need it? Then at least you aren't asking for something specific.

I'm lucky to have found my doctor. She is super attentive and I don't feel awkward asking her for a specific med.

I LOVE to swim, but absolutely will not go into water that is not in a swimming pool. There are a few dark deep places in Marlboro Co that I would swim in.

I would not dive into anywhere if its not on off the side of the pool. Perhaps jump off of the end of a rope...which I found scarier than one can imagine! Lord!

If you have patience for the preparation and can get past the taste upon ingesting it, San Pedro is pretty great medicine.

A food grade extraction tek is not that expensive or difficult if you don't think you could consume it in a tea or smoothie.

I believe you said you didn't want to explore psychedelics anymore but Mescaline (San Pedro's psychedelic alkaloid) is a phenethylamine, same class of compounds as MDMA, which I believe you said you would still consider. Sp tends to have a clearer headspace and be more forgiving than psychedelic indoles like Shrooms and LSD.

San Pedro has a more Natural feel to it than MDMA, only in that sense do I find it like shrooms but also has a unique cleansing afterglow I have not really experienced on anything else.

I'm not knowledgeable in regards to microdosing for any psychedelics really. San Pedro is going to take some prep time no matter how you slice it (pun intended). The psychoactive alkaloids of San Pedro reside in an area slightly beneath the outer layer of the cacti, the core and most of the inner layer is essentially discarded.

Mescaline is much less potent than psilocybin in it's dose-response curve, also the mescaline content comprises far less of the cacti than the psilocybin content does of the shrooms, so given that, I think microdosing shrooms would be much easier.

 

The cleanest high that I have ever had was from mescaline.. I will never forget how wonderful I felt all by myself walking home at 3 a.m. high on mescaline I couldn't believe that I felt so good I've never been able to find it since PM me if you got a line on it

 

Mescaline to me feels like a happy low grade mushroom trip.. While there are visuals.They dont seem to make out things of their own.. Like object wont morph, but they will stream rainbow colors. CEV seems to be very organized and flowing, and not erratic random shit. but nice colors and bands that go together in fractal ...OEV not so much distributing but enjoyable even at higher levels. Seems to be no anger with this substance either.. Where I was about to get mad at shit on shrooms, aco, mEts and others.. Mescaline just wont .. its like a pema smile til it wears off.

Thats my take on it anyways. Prep sucks. but dont be discouraged by that.

 

Yeah I remember the first time I did Mescaline. I sat on a cliff in Wales and watched the tide come in then go out again, then walked back and remember the ground feeling sooo nice, much more like mdma. It was beautiful.

In the UK San Pedro is legal to buy online. Don't know about states.
