Hey I just had a real quick question... can you buy denim material by the yard?

I used to have a piece of denim I safety pinned around my wrist but it got worn and all that jazz, so I wanted to make a new one.

Yes you can at most fabric stores. Joann fabrics has a big selection of denim.

Or you could always destroy an old pair of jeans... and reuse the material.. And that would be free :)

I remember when denim sold by the yard in colors. Chambray is a soft denim-like fabric, and still around. I had a dusty pink denim dress, and it fell apart. It's hard to find fabric, even online. We used to have sewing shops in every town in the usa. They had every imaginable fabric, and button you could dream of, and they did house calls to repair sewing machines. Times have changed....dang.
