no ideology has ever worked. cultures sometimes accomplish things, and then try to credit ideologies for doing so. but the ideologies really have nothing to do with it.

All ideologies work, at least for a while. it's just a question of how long. 10 minutes or 500 years.
No ideology permanently works because all ideology is incomplete.
The reason why ideologies die is the same reason biological organisms die, the accumulation of errors due to a lack of completeness.
Death is required to exist in the world because to exist in the world requires something to be incomplete. The world is inherently contradictory and thus no manifest thing can be all-encompassing.
Imperfection results in death and it is built into this existence.
Some things however are more perfect than others.
