I'm really picky with beer and completely ungerman in saying this but I can't stand wheat beer either. I find most German beers to be thick ales, or just very heavy and they don't agree with my digestive system. I actually have a mouthful of wheat beer and I'll gag. So I go for lagers I think they are. I don't know beers very well lol. Or actually, I like blondes and low carb usually. American "lites". Does the beer youre speaking of come in red, blue and silver label? Cause the name sounds familiar. Like I've. Pinched a few beer glasses and taken them home lol.
and that the sun revolves around the earth. i'm not sure what either one has to do with british craft breweries being ripoffs though.
Lagers and/or pils(ners) are the best. But there's a range in quality among that too of course. I don't like the too lite beers (like Heineken), it shouldn't be worse than Warsteiner (which can be perfectly fine for an evening or two ). I prefer them like Stella Artois, which you probably also know. The kirschbier? Could be, yeah! I don't recall with certainty
I went to the Thirsty Monk! Loved that spot, Belgian beer is the shit. I loved Wicked Weed, too. Although I was hearing that they “sold out”, so the locals were not happy.
The best breweries in my area are Trillium and Tree House. I havent made it to Tree House yet, but everything I have had from Trillium is excellent.
And you just proved that you know fuck all about beer Hobo. What I wrote was this which I stand by: To me most of them are a rip off. Up until this so called 'Craft Beer' fad a beer was a beer. Particularly in the Real Ale from the barrel beers of which there were hundreds of brands anyway. My favourite is a Hoppy Real Ale beer called 'Proper Job' and you won't find better. Then along came a wheeze to call some ales Craft Beers, and charge much more for them. For instance usually craft beers are sold in 330cl smaller bottles and cans, whereas usual beers are sold in 500cl bottles and cans. And of course they charge even more than the 500cl bottle/can. This is a Rip Off as generally speaking those beers are no different produced then the rest of Real Ales. Except from the Lager types which are brewed/sterilised/homogenised/stuffed with co2 and then out to you! The lower article was not my ownership, but I thought it was interesting all the same.
Pressed Rat turned me onto Genesee cream ale.. I hardly buy anything else other than a taster .. Genesee cream ale is like the perfect beer its not to heavy and not to light.
But have you had the REAL Budweiser? The one from Czech Republic, from the town of Budweis (České Budějovice)? Yes, the American Bud is horse piss, we know.
Back in the stoned age me and this other guy would get a case of this pretty much every night, and split it. They were returnable bottles... The drive through would have one waiting for us.
No. Beer is water. I dont see any point in drinking beer. I would just drink orange juice instead of beer. My aim for drinking has always been to get drunk. Considering beer is water, so...
This is probably one of the single dumbest things I've ever read on this forum - and that says a lot.
I can have the occasional beer with food (usually something fried and salty) but I cant just drink a beer by itself. Unless it's a sour. And even then, that's rare. Just dont like beer much. My stepdad on the other hand is a total beer enthusiast. He belongs to this service that sends him a box of different craft beers from all over the world. He gets it like once a month. He's kinda a beer snob but that's cool I'm a food snob
