Some Good People Are Not Still Around

I can't substantiate this in any way, and I'd obviously love to be wrong, but I have the feeling that the German chap (who posted under the name 'Ganesha'), may well have died. His posts here stopped suddenly in May 2013, will no indication given in his last post that he was about to a break from the forum. Awfully sad, if true, and an especial shame for this place, as he was one of the most thoughtful, articulate and inclusive contributors. If anyone knows more, please post something, because, to reiterate, it would be a relief to know that I'm well wide of the mark here; that the reason he stopped posting is for personal reasons, and that he's alive and well (why not let us know yourself, Ganesha, if you still lurk?!).

 

That ought to read: the reason he stopped posting is a personal and private one. Christ, how do you edit and/or delete posts, these days? The formatting and whatnot in here isn't half awkward and inflexible.

 

You can go into your own posts and edit them or delete them, just like any text. As for Ganesha (who used to have a rather extensive blog about his barefooting activities), he may well be gone. His bio says he was last active in 2014. No info on the Web post that year. He was always a bright spirit.

 

Indeed, 23rd May 2014 (oddly it shows that his last post was exactly a year before this, on 23rd May 2013). Maybe he decided to take some time out, and that stretched into a permanent break with the forum; I hope it's nothing sadder than that.

 

Not a good barefooting area.
