ahhhh all they do is want fucking gossip about your life and then they talk about theirs like they're so fucking eveloved and above you. My mom made me go to one when I was a kid and then again all throughout fucking high school I used to walk around the building after she dropped me off and smoke cigarettes-best therapy ever slone time and a 4 dollar pack of cigarettes. She still doesn't know to this day.

Some are, some aren't, it all depends. Each and every psychologist has their own methods based on theoretical approaches.. Psycho-dynamic, Cognitive/Social learning, and Humanistic/Existential. While each one is important in it's own aspect, they typically focus on one manifestation of personality. This concept is too one-dimensional for someone like myself. Granted, each psychologist identifies best with one of the three and uses it within their practice, however, I find that the approach in which you are going to take should be on the basis of many factors. I simply cannot commit to one view of reasoning. I find all approaches to be beneficial in their own way. Sometimes I have to remind myself why I chose the field.
