Pressed Rat seems pretty happy with his life (or at least not unhappy). That's more than a lot of us can say.
For the most part, yeah. I am not unhappy. At the same time I would not say I am happy either. I don't take things in life too seriously, and I do not measure my worth by other people's standards. If I did, I would have offed myself long ago. I would despise myself. I just take things day by day and don't really worry about the future because the future is completely uncertain anyway. Some people would say that is a cop out, but that is how I truly feel. I know so many people who have the most normal, "perfect" lives (or so it would seem)... great jobs, beautiful families, a nice house, tons of attractive friends/acquaintances, and they are not happy. I feel it's because they are doing what society wants them to do and not what they want to do. We are born in this world and expected to conform to this rigid formula while ignoring who we really are, and hiding who we really are under this facade so we can be accepted as "normal", functional members of society. I am ranting. I did not articulate any of that the way I wanted.
Not that insulting imo, just a hilarious (or pathetic) fallacy. As it's indeed another classic example of projection
We all knew NoHobo under a different name, a nice 'lil blast from that past. Not surprised that he said what he said. Anyhow, nice post, rat. Well articulated indeed. I find that if you make enough money to meet your basic needs, plus a little extra to prevent financial disasters and indulge in things that you actually enjoy, then you'll be alright. Any amount of money more than that doesn't seem to make much of a difference in your happiness.
NoHobo is an incarnation of a former user? Who? I had no clue (and ive also been here for almost 2 decades And no, don't see that as a bad or pathetic thing. I can see why others might see it like that though..).
What was popular then? I can't remember that well. I wasn't on hip. Not until 2007. I remember having these songs around at that time.
I know what I remember. I remember before this song was the theme song to that show "House". Member that?
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ There was one poster who was obsessed with the original youtube video No Homo from 2010. Perhaps that’s where the name No Hobo was derived?
