Hurricane Dorian now predicted to hit Florida as a category 4

I know this is probably insensitive to those whose homes are affected, but I am so fascinated with hurricanes. They're such amazing forces of nature. I'll probably be obsessively tracking this one until it hits.

Airstream is arguably one of the better quality trailers you can buy these days started in the 1930s and I was looking at the website they start at $100,000 for the big boy but this one here is 40 Grand and it is called the base camp this is a one or two person trailer I would love to have this

 

True, same. That's probably why a lot of people refuse to evacuate during a hurricane, they want to experience one

Now that the race has been aired on the iracing TV, had a lot of PM's saying I ran awesome etc. Feeling the love for sure tonight.

My buddy's wife up the road here if so racist and conspiratorial in her thinking that I avoid speaking to her at all costs...she cornered me on the boat and as she was leaving our conversation she said "did you hear car loads of foreign kids are coming over at 10:30 at night and no one knows what they're up to".... I couldn't believe it I can't start up with the Auntie racist stuff with her because she is my very next over neighbour and I depend on her husband for lots of things it is a mutual relationship with him... She works for the federal government and every single day she gets into how the people she works with are f****** with her and messing with her work etc today's she told me they f***** with a computer and it crashed LOL.....

hurricanes are exacerbated by solar energy. this one will be stronger on impact because of a coronal hole stream that should be impacting at the same time. very fascinating, very dangerous and scary.

 

damn @rollingalong I have hated having to deal with that narrow minded, but bizarre thinking (and I have)...I've been sort of confronted in a way! Never would I have sought their thoughts on things. Of course I think they are lunatics, that think that their obsessions over the strangest of things (sometimes) is a conspiracy to make us think such and such. Lord God. My "person" is a relative. Dear God. Irs a mental illness, but they will NOT accept that/

There isn't even anything to say to that ludicrous thinking...but have have it backed it up with FACTS.

 

Been thinking more about it.

I've spent 18 months building a repore with these guys racing, built on trust and comradeship, letting them know hey I can race too, and clean and hard and we can beat and bang and we can handle it.

But getting taken out there yesterday in the manor I did to shows a complete lack of respect from him and it just goes to show what an online persona and pride is all about to people because he's a total show pony and loves the sound of his own voice in interviews.

If he doesn't get knocked out of the championship one way or another, I give my word right now, he will not win the 2019 championship.

Edit: or! I guess I could be the bigger person and play fair too. But this is what playing fair gets you into, it leaves you vulnerable to disrespectful fuckwits. And I'm sick of it.

 

There's a couple of Stephen King movies I liked but then there's always some really bad ones and then I realise later it's a King novel and I'm like oh yep no surprises there.

I've only read one book of his though which was Dark Tower 1 and that was about 3yrs and 10mths ago. I attempted to read the second one after, but after reading the notes to the first one at the beginning of book 2 I became confused and thought perhaps I'd completely misread the whole thing. And then I was like.. Well fuck this. I'll read about aliens!

 

This storm is nothing to scoff at, the latest forecast from the National Hurricane Center said Dorian is expected to reach Category 4 strength as it approaches Florida over the weekend.

Rapid intensification is likely to occur over the next 48 hours and is forecast to maintain it's cat 4 status until it reaches land.


If it hits as a Category 4, with winds of 130 mph, the damage could be catastrophic.

 

I get the bad weather is dangerous for the vulnerable etcetera etc but I don't feel too horrible about some dudes beautiful beachfront property being crushed in the f****** pick up Stix f*** the rich..the same people own stocks in the companies selling arms that are chilling children overseas so f*** them twice

 

Similar thing here two years ago.. There was a flash flood in the village and people were all like, ohh God so terrible. But no one died and the properties damaged were all million pound second homes. Found it hard to feel sorry for anyone and the storm was really cool. Massive hailstones like marbles.
