I'm planning on making a big 6-month trip to India, Uganda, and Morocco once I graduate, and I was wondering if anyone has any tips? I imagine it wouldn't be too expensive down in Uganda, and I do know all about the whole "tourist" issue in certain areas of Morocco (ie: storeworkers charging much more trying to trick tourists into paying more). Is it smart to maybe try to get a host family for the stay (Uganda= 3-week stay, Morocco=1-2 months), or would camping-in designated areas-safe at all? And finally, how difficult would it be to hunt down some vegetarian food?

    Hi Sunburst,

I have lived three month in India and I have also visited Morocco¡£ India is a very nice place to live£¬ especially in the suth of the country¡£ I was living in Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh¡£ Life is not very expensive and food is really delicious¡£ Of course£¬ most of indians are vegetarian so¡£¡£¡£¡£¡£¡£¡£no problem¡£ In Morocco£¬ it is maybe a little more difficult but not so much¡£ You can try the ¡°couscous¡± and ask to have it without meat¡£¡£¡£¡£¡£so great£¡£¡£¡£¡£¡£¡ If you want to buy something£¬ you have to chat about the price £¨don¡®t be afraid£¬ it is one customs and shopkeepers really like to do it£©¡£ If they told you 200 dirhams£¬ you must say£¬ no 100 and then chat¡£ You can accept 120¡£¡£¡£¡£¡£¡£some people say that you have to say 70 and then stop at 100 but I didn¡¯t£©¡£ I think it is possible to find a guest family¡£ try to chat with moroccan people£¬ I am nearly sure some of them will invite you to stay¡£

    Peace and enjoy your trip

I've been to Morocco, but hasten to add only on a day
trip from Spain. I was in my teens with my parents and
it was both fantastic and scary.
You must see the markets and snake charmers and buy
a souvenir or two as it's really cheap, it's also mandatory
for any tourist to see a belly dance. IMO
It's probably best to either hire a tour guide or tag along
with a large conducted group, to be on the safe side.

One of the biggest eye opening experiences in my life.
I have to thank my parents for that one.
