I sailed out of Islamorada - about halfway between Miami and Key West.

Two areas were my favorite, Marathon, VERY close to the 7 mile bridge. And Key West, it was so much fun there. Casa Marina was another large place to stay in Key West. I LOVED walking down the streets of Key West and all you could smell was suntan lotion and bronze bodies to go with it. Everyone was there to let their hair down and have fun. A very intoxicating environment.

Yeah, I guess I understand the appeal for other people, but I'm a cold water marine marine mammal.

yeah, you definitely need to know what you're doing. people do it a lot around here (not naked), and about half of them i fear for their lives watching them flying around out of control. just this afternoon i thought i was going to have to rescue a guy who clearly knew what he was doing, but crashed his kite in the water far from shore and couldn't get it back out. luckily the wind drifted him into shore before any drastic measures were required.

i forgot about that, when i was scuba diving at a quarry a couple hours from here, there was some sort of mass baptism going on at the beach end of the lake. i would guess anywhere between 50 and 100 people got baptized over the course of an hour or two.

Yea, it’s pretty cool. I was baptized as a baby but many adults do it. Jesus was baptized as an adult, according to the Bible.

i think i was about 6. i vaguely remember it. i wasn't dunked, there was some weird fountain that the church would set up for those sorts of things. i'm remembering it sort of like an eye wash station on a pedestal.

You are quite right. We sell kites where I work and I have thought to buy one several times. I will take this post as a sign.

good to go with friends or others you know, who you can play beach games with or chat and chill rather then alone bored and probably fall asleep and get a bad sunburn
