and there was a time when america was full of commies... but McCarthyism, the cold war, and the vietnam war pretty much put an end to that... and I would like to add that McCarthyism is still alive, as they've managed to put me and my friends in Government file and threaten us... Also in recent news a college professor who compared bush to hitler to spark debate in his class is being under tremendous heat by the government to resign from his job... hell, they've already ruined his reputation... so much proof of modern day mccarthyism.

Stalin tarnished Communisms name... Thats why we call his ideology Stalinism and not Communism. That is also why we call Maoism Maoism and not Communism... and thats why we call Leninism Leninism and not Communism... Marxism is marxism...
There are so many sects and different ideas of communism, to say that it all doesnt work is just foolish, and obviously shows that you have no idea what communism really means... especially when there has been extremely successful communes before.

Stalin Ruined Communism. So did McCarthy, Reagan and Ayn Rand... all of which were propagandists afraid of losing their massive0 wealth and power.

 

Castro isn't that bad of a guy though...compared to some others...

 

The problem though, is that for either communism or anarchy to work, it requires ALL people involved to want it to work. They all have to agree upon it, you know. And, unless you don't know shit about people, that is very unlikely to happen in anything larger than a small group.

Yeah compared to others... I mean cuba is a lot better now than it was before the revolution... they have the best medical research in the world... and once the soviet union turned back to capitalism, they are suffering much more poverty and starvation than before...

Either way, Castro is still evil... Any dictator is evil... any dictatorship will lack the necessary freedoms to run a truly successful society... So many of us anarcho communists and communists are just waiting for a shot to prove their ideology under a truly democratic society... Yes, you can have anarchy and democracy at the same time.
