They call my generation Echo Generation because we were raised by the largest generation of Americans called "Baby Boomers"
We were born in the 1980's (1982-1995). Our numbers are over 60 million and we are the most racially diversed generation of Americans ever created .... anyways my questions is

WHAT WILL WE BE REMEMBERED FOR??

You won't be remembered for much, the Gen X-ers have it covered...:D

    According to UrbanDictionary.com :

    "Generation X:
The generation born right around the end of the 1960s baby boomer cultural takeover, basically anyone born after 1965 (Dylan going electric) and before 1977 (so that you'd hafta be at least 1 yr. old when Star Wars came out). The title Generation X was designated by the media to indicate a distinct group population for marketing purposes. Generation X members are generally considered laid back (slackers), market savvy (having been inundated by the mass media and MTV since their pre-teen years), prone to psychological disorders (the first generation with a majority to have grown up with absent or divorced parents), and considered less important than baby boomers (who are btw the egomaniacal bastids to make that distinction in the first place, sheesh). Generational trends however suggest that Gen Xers are smarter than people think, are more capable and hard working than expected, and will eventually rule the world by lining up the baby boomer bastids against the wall when the revolution comes!"

I saw the original Star Wars in the theatre, and boy, do I feel special.....and old...:D

These names for generations are nothing more than labels for all the suits in high paying jobs to easily differenciate during meetings the core demographic they are trying to screw out of money.

We'll be remembered for a lot of things, like increasing global warming, using up natural resources, and allowing bands like Backstreet Boys to perform without being murdered. *dies of shame* sigh...

I sent them telepathic "die horribly" messages...but you can't send someone a telepathic message when they don't have a brain!!

    So that was YOU.

As I was standing over all five of them sleeping (they all slept in the same bed not surprisingly) I was armed with only an oozie and an intense dislike for crappy music. As my trigger finger trembled and beeds of sweat were forming on my brow I was suddenly interupted by the message DIE HORRIBLY coursing through my head. What was no doubt a good gesture on your part backfired horribly by causing me to shout "What the fuck was that?" really loud, waking up my prey and forcing me to resort to plan B(getting the fuck out of there).

Although in hindsight you probably saved me from the electric chair, but damn would I have been a hero....

on npr the other day they reffered to us as eterna-children we live at home because of inflation, it takes us 5 or 6 years to graduate college and we were over indulged because are parents who grew up 60's have a premise that children should be treated as adults. It was dead on in my case and in those I know who are my age. I have friends who make a really nice living yet live at home not because they can't afford a home but because they like the comfort of home.
